Premiere: Gruuve - Didn't Happen [Monday Social]

House legend Harry Romero returns with a two-track release on DFTD, bursting with Latin flavour. Following the release of his highly anticipated Defected House Masters compilation at the start of 2023, Romero has continued to develop his driving sound with a number of original releases, including his remix of Roach Motel’s ’94 underground staple ‘Wild Luv’ on Faith. Now returning to DFTD with a bang, the explosion of energy felt in ‘Liquid Samba’ is impressive; chugging rhythms and an insistent vocal call mixes with melodic percussion, effortlessly evoking the sound of the jungle. Similarly, spoken word sections are used to detail ‘The Journey’, building a tropical world using only audio.

New release on Beachside Records, this time we officially welcome a new member of our family of artists, we are referring to Anderson Jhosverly Palacios Saucedo, better known in the Peruvian electronic scene as @anderpmusic , who comes to present his latest work entitled Beauty EP, includes two tracks full of the finest minimal deep tech with kicks that will make us throb, Latin percussion, bass lines with a lot of groove and a hypnotic vocal, as an ideal complement we have an explosive remix by @querid who introduces us his personal version of the main track, always very much in his style full of good groove.

Crafted amidst the crisp air of Denver, Colorado, 'Lessons' emerged from the creative fusion of Denney and House hero, Hipp-E. Having jumped into the studio, the pair effortlessly locked in an ice-cold groove before their imaginations soared to warmer climates. Which of course, beckoned the saxophone.

A quintessential soundtrack for the summer season, 'Lessons' encapsulates the spirit of House, with its deep, groovy essence never reaching a peak, but instead delivering nostalgic '90s vibes with a modern '24 flair. True to form, a Hipp-E release wouldn't be complete without a touch of acid. 'Lessons' takes a dip and trip, stripping down to its core elements of percussion, strings, and smooth Rhodes piano to create a fresh bubbling take on the original.
