"David Morales’ ‘Izizwe’ (feat. Shota) is the killer new house workout from the New York-born legend. Released 4 July exclusively on Traxsource (18 July all stores), the radio edit and club mix of ‘Izizwe’ are accompanied by Red Zone and D-Tension remixes, each mix further showcasing the depth and range of Morales’ sound.
‘Izizwe’ was produced, mixed, and engineered by David Morales, with Shota, also the writer, on vocals. Percussion by Steve Thornton and David Morales; keyboards by Tony Loreto, Eric Kupper, and Josh Milan.
South African artist, Shota, aka Mnqobi Mdabe, was born and raised in Kwazulu-Natal, Ntuzuma, after completing high school, he went on to study for a Diploma at the then Natal Technikona (alongside longtime friend Nkosinathi Maphumulo now known as Black Coffee), later forming the group Shana. Subsequent group success saw them achieve a number of hits, before Shota went solo and started his own label, which has also become a home for other artists."
