Apparel revisits the Francesco Zani EP, through Moodymanc which in two versions gives us a touch of Britain, soul and special effects, Echonomist that leads us into the belly of the past, without a ticket to go back, Roy Gilles, who a new packaging of the deep classic again and Andrea Natale he returns to amaze us with its eclectic and unpredictable embryo.
A few words to talk about this superb collection of different styles, as only Apparel is to use them propose.

A new Chapter is upon us, and with it Luis Leon returns to the fold for Chapter 24 to deliver four musical pieces of the highest order.

Luis’ outspoken sound with carefully crafted productions, poised basslines and striking synths is once again on show in a concept EP built around the theme of space.

Opening things up, 'Eta Carinae' burns brightly. An organic groove underpins exploratory synths which echo into the void.

‘Betelgeuse’ follows and lives up to expectations, a massive, more driving track which hits home hard on the dancefloor over its eleven minutes.

A moment of respite is offered by ‘Relativität’, its languid groove striking a pause in space and time, before the eponymous ‘Schwerkraft’ closes the EP with its beguiling, atmospheric broken beat. 

All in all, four stories in sound which offer up a treat of cosmic proportions.

Released on Friday 4th November.

Fur Coat return to Crosstown Rebels - the label that launched and empowered them to grow into the major techno force we know today, with their ’Numbers EP, featuring a remix from US native Vin Sol. This is music that keeps you guessing. Initially it appears dark and forceful, and suddenly a sound appears that results in a smile, a warm feeling that only the highest level of production can deliver.

Fur Coat’s schedule is unrelenting. The last couple of months involving a standout set at DGTL Festival, releasing on Watergate Records, remixing Nicole Moudaber & Skin on Mood Records, combined with numerous festival appearances over the Summer. Resident of the popular night Club Lonely in San Francisco, Vin Sol, founded an imprint with the same title earlier this year. A self confessed lover of the drum machine and regularly collaborating with Matrixxman, Sol has previously released on Soo Wavey, Clone Jack for Daze and Delft among others.

Premiere: Lorenzo Calvio & Alan Banjo – Sirio (Echonomist Remix) [Moodmusic Records]

Marcus Meinhardts new record is there and with it a hole rig of remixes. "Checkpot" has become a typical Meinhardt that twirls with a cool funkyness and mysterious melodies through the dancers brain. The producer and dj Okain which is known especially through his releases on Tsuba Rec. is taking the theme by the fuze and is relighting the dancefloor with his bass accelerator. Our Upon You approved colleague Pele also likes to play with fire and got together with the artist Findling for his remix. They turn the wind towards the morning and let the flames turn into a trip-dub direction. Similar does the Upon You artist Echonomist who stears the digital bonus track with a heating value of glowing soundscapes as usual.

After his releases and remixes in Back And Forth, Wazi Wazi and Sucre Recordings, here we present Lovely Files, a quite simply overwhelming tracks that guides you to a higher musical level... This is where the nights turns into music.
Sello drops in this work a beautiful song rooted in deep music. With some beats inspired by a imaginative disco feeling and a melodic synth based in a line with a raw energy inside the result is a combination of elements that loose their individual identities and are fused, blended or compounded in a mix called good music... Not to be missed!
This EP gets remix treatment by Sasse and Echonomist. It's a real honor for us to have Sasse in our imprint. This creative visionary has been running Mood Music since loads of years apart to release music in labels like Poker Flat or Kompakt. For this occasion he has reworked the track giving a completely different groove and mood from the original. Amazing beats to make this track a extraordinay piece of great music.
Echonomist comes back to Neovinyl after his works in Dessous or Mixx Records with a solid bassline and definitive serious pulse. It is the sound of a talent uncovering his musical possibilities.

Sello - You're My Own (Echonomist Remix)

The album, the full-length, the long player; an artist’s showcase, a look into one’s creative mind, his deepest secrets, fears, failures, and triumphs.

Generally, an album serves one of two functions. The first being a club-centric compilation that feels a lot like listening to 6 EPs one after another resulting only in the reassurance that yes, this artist can still satisfy a dance floor. The second works as a genuine exposé of an artist’s creativity, music knowledge, and intelligence, but most of all reminds us that there is a human behind the music; a human that understands not all Techno should be enjoyed under the shade of a Funktion One. 

“Shortcake Strategy” is Falko Brocksieper’s third full length and it exemplifies the ladder. Though the introduction might feel like a familiar place in between synthesizers and kick drums, it’s merely a beginning; not at an indication of what is to follow. Within seconds of hearing “Avoid”, it doesn’t take long to acknowledge this is something truly different.
“Heavy Day”, Brocksieper’s last album was released in 2008 on his own Sub-Static imprint. It was, like all of the releases before, high quality Tech-House. It contained moments of song-like beauty, but nonetheless remained connected to a minimalistic approach.

Five years later, Falko’s growth is clear. In “Shortcake Strategy”, fairytale-like melodies are backed with thought provoking harmonies that pave the way for an explicitly visual experience. We have been introduced to a new face of the Berlin-based producer. Shortcake is a simple recipe. It doesn’t take a lot of planning or much thought or attention when preparing it, and in the end, it will be light, fluffy, sweet, and perfectly satisfying. Falko might say the same about his approach to the creation of  “Shortcake Strategy”, yet the end product sees his most dynamic and emotional productions to date, leaving us with the feeling that this comes from a strategy that requires far more thought, and is far more complicated than that of a sugary dessert.

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.
