Premiere: Mike Rish - Tunnel People [Lost & Found]

Returning from a short hiatus, Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Radieux back to the label for a new single. With well over a decade’s worth of DJ experience, Slovenian born artist Radieux has been a fixture at some of the world’s premiere clubs and festivals, sharing the stage with John Digweed, Nick Warren, Solomun and more. Upon creating the Radieux alias in 2019, Artessa Music and Chrom Recordings served as initial landing spots for his melodic club-friendly sound. Fast forward to 2023 and the first six months of year have proved to be the most prolific of Radieux’s career, notching projects for Beat Boutique, Eat My Hat and Soundteller, the latter of which served as a home for his March offering ‘Here Comes The Storm’. Now, making a welcome return to the label, Radieux unveils his latest studio creation ‘Waterfalls and Us’, alongside remixes from Gai Barone and Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre.

Continuing to showcase his great dancefloor sensibilities, Radieux’s ‘Waterfalls and Us’ finds that perfect balance between groove and melody. A muscular low end serves as the foundation for bright percussive arrangements, evolving arps and a gorgeous piano-like lead which serves as a transition into the main break. Coming to full emotional fruition as the centrepiece evolves, melodies converge and textures emerge, perfectly setting up a flurry of drums and smooth key changing finale.

The remixes delivery nicely as well with one of the progressive scenes leading lights Gai Barone turning in another hugely memorable production. The Italian artist leaves something to the imagination here, opting for a dreamier approach which makes great use of texture and colour to create an evolving atmospheric storyboard atop punchy beats and buoyant percussive arrangements. Definitely one for the clued up progressive floors out there.

Rounding out the release with the final remix is Kamilo Sanclemente & Mauro Aguirre who continue to collaboration with great success. The Colombian duo aim squarely at a peak-hour dance floor with full grooves, rolling rhythms and a haunting harmonic topline which marries well with the electric lines below. Looking to keep energy high throughout, the main break is concise, serving to build tension quickly, before a final assault of supersonic synths caps off this epic offering from Soundteller in fine style. Highly recommended.

Musique de Lune rounds out the month of October by welcoming Luke Santos back to the label for a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything'. As a DJ for well over two decades, Argentina born, Netherlands based artist Luke Santos has delighted crowds across the world with his far-reaching sound. Long-standing events such as ADE, WMC, The Love Parade and more have been recurring locations for Luke's exquisite taste and impeccable programming skills; while GU Music, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden have been global music brands to request his talents. A near decade-long career as a producer indicates his selective nature, with Cid Inc's Replug Records, Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank and Global Underground being the primary landing spots for his stunning creations. 2022 would see Luke return from a five-year hiatus via Musique de Lune Noire with the well-received album project 'I Am Everything'. A release which not only holds the distinction of being Noire's inaugural release, but received praise from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now, two years on from the release, Luke makes his debut on Musique de Lune's primary imprint with a special remix edition of 'I Am Everything', featuring Hernán Cattáneo & Marcelo Vasami, Kasper Koman & Alex O'Rion, Noraj Cue & Unders and Patrice Bäumel.

Progressive House phenoms Kasper Koman and Alex O'Rion are up next with a massive rendition of 'I Am Human'. Already in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, the Dutch duo combine their creative forces for a festival sized rework fuelled by striking stabs, hopeful overlays and relentless drive. A well-constructed break sits at the core of the track, one which finds a perfect balance of tension and emotion, before a finale of pulsating grooves and orbiting effects fully saturates your senses.

Alto Astral are Matias Villafañe and Martina Mozzoni, an Argentinian pair based in Spain making amazing, emotional music as a live performance duo incorporating live vocals, guitars, pianos, synthesizers, and controllers. Opening with 'Between Us' starts off like a sleeping giant, drawing the listener in. A tribal beat gets the dancefloor moving joins quickly by dancing hats and pretty arps. Martinas vocals are heartfelt and instantly captivating drawing even the curious passer-by deeper into their emotional web of wonder! Next up, 'Luciérnaga' begins in quiet ambience before launching into a tough progressive groove that hypnotises with delicate arps and a thunderous bassline. Eros, is the 7th EP of Various Artist from Droid9 South America, it includes 3 original mixes of pure Progressive House made by great artists. Among them are Argentine producers such as Konte, Andres Moris, Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi.

Voice of experience, is the first track on this EP, made by Konte. In this track you can appreciate an ambient and dark sound, along with a very well achieved base, accompanied by a deep house sound to some extent. This creation keeps us in tune all the time, it is an ideal track for any time of the night, either at the end of a warm up or to generate a calmer atmosphere in an extensive set.

Into the light, is the second track, made by Andres Moris. This track obtained the support of Guy J (Echos 11/13/2020), in it we can notice in this creation a fine mixture in the Progressive House style, you can see solid drums accompanied by a powerful bassline, which when combined With the melody it begins to take us on a one-way trip to another dimension. Everything that seemed heavenly turns dark, minimal-style sounds begin to enter our ears which keeps the crowd to keep moving. It is an ideal track for any type of environment , in which listeners will go through different states of mind when being heard.

Sayonara, third track compiled by Colou Befu and Ignacio Berardi. You can see in this creation, a mix between an aggressive yet hypnotic and enveloping sound that progressively mutates and takes us on a journey from beginning to end. The combination of drums, melody and bass makes it sustain a good groove for the dance floor, which holds us to the floor and keeps us in constant motion. Undoubtedly this track can be used to exploit the night on any given dancefloor
