'Spirit Animals is a loaded five track EP by British producer Yarni + collaborators Mehlic, Give Me Monaco, + Nau Leone. Its inspiration comes from "Spirit Animal" the original track which spotlights the haunting vocals of Russian artist Alexandra Pride. This EP features eclectic styles that leave us with a little something for everyone - Anthemic vocals, a heavy dancefloor mover, heart-wrenching romantic cords, to a hypnotic slow burner. To add poetic charm each track is named after the artists' personal, spirit animal.'

'Out-Er founder Simone Gatto delivers his new EP ‘Imaginary Realities’ via Tiefschwarz’ Souvenir imprint this September.

Southern Italian producer and DJ Simone Gatto has been releasing material over the past decade via the likes of Curle Recordings, Orlando Voorn’s Night Vision and his own Out Electronic Recordings aka Out-Er amongst others. Here though, Gatto delivers four fresh originals for the long-established Souvenir label with a remix from fellow Italian Distant Echoes.

‘A New Wave’ opens the EP, bringing textural pads and synthetic percussion into the limelight while sturdy low-end tones and muted drums further fuel the subtly blooming composition. ‘Quest For A Vision’ follows, bringing focus towards dubbed out acid stabs, crunchy drums and metallic chimes.

Next up is ‘Restorative Agents’, employing a bubbling arpeggio bell like tone at its core alongside saturated drums and reverberated low end pulsations. ‘Primal Reality’ is the fourth and final original from Gatto, a tripped-out five and half minutes of resonant synth flutters, heavily swung drums and bouncy synth patterns. Distant Echoes then completes the package with his take on ‘Primal Reality’, a contrastingly more dancefloor affair fuelled by tension building, ever unfolding synths, vacillating tones and a driving kick.'

Alejandro’s ability to traverse genre lines makes him a pillar of XYZ’s artistic vision. With releases on industry titans such as Cocoon, Third Ear, and Hivern Discs propelling his career, Mosso has recently found footing in the deep and melodic scene. His Amatista EP on Behrouz’s Do No Sit label is flush with quality, and his remixes for Esteble and Robbie Akbal further display the impressive recent output for Mosso.

As we step into Autumn, we are thrilled to welcome the return of Mosso to the XYZ imprint in the form of his Promenader EP. With January’s Sirocco project as a building block, the latest collection from Alejandro fosters his irresistible percussion work and groove-forward arrangements; immensely intelligent, easy-riding, and cohesive music coming your way.
