Montreal artist Hillel Shabtai makes a highly anticipated return to DIALNINE with a fresh dance-floor heater, once again bringing his inimitable, bountiful sound to the fore.

'Carmen San Diego' is a straight-ahead groover that combines a thunderous kick drum and a razor-sharp bass-line with captivating vocal touches and electrifying synth stabs. With its eyes on the prize, this enthralling cut will keep you locked in from the get-go.

US talent Serge Devant makes a welcome return to Crosstown Rebels in July with the three-track Hush Hush EP. Damian Lazarus’ flagship label is familiar territory for the NYC talent, where he’s made several acclaimed appearances since 2015.

Serge spoke on how each track took shape: “This EP has been put together over the span of seven years, representing different times of my life and where I was musically. Flashback has been sitting on the back burner since 2015, Hush Hush is from the pandemic archives and Hot Circuit is the freshest out of the bunch. It feels like this release has a little something to please everyone. Enjoy!”

Flashback feat. Forrest gets the show underway, as soft kicks live beside pulsing synth tones and Forrest’s echoing vocals throughout. There’s a soothing feel to the piece, making it well-built for both sunrise and sunset moments, whilst still retaining enough oomph to make it perfect dancefloor material. Hot Circuit comes next, taking the form of an out-and-out club-cut packed full of low-slung, Ibiza-ready groove, whilst Hush Hush continues in a similarly punchy vein to round off the EP on a techy note.

Serge Devant has an esteemed reputation in today’s dance music industry, from playing at DC-10 to his music turning the heads of Jamie Jones and Damian Lazarus, his talent speaks for itself. Emerald City, Knee Deep In Sound and Circus Recordings are just a few of the labels he’s released on, whilst performances for international brands such as Day Zero, Music On, Get Lost and Paradise prove his standing as a globally-revered DJ and producer.

'Hailing all the way from Niš, Serbia, Misha is a Washington DC-based artist who's on the rise. He is a resident DJ with Factory 93, Insomniac and Club Glow.

This larger-than-life beatmaker is at the forefront of DC’s scene, defining a new strand of forward-thinking underground music.

He has played alongside legendary artists such as Dubfire, Anna, Camelphat, Green Velvet, Eats Everything, Rafa Barrios, Oscar L, Boris, Carlo Lio, Technasia, Solardo, Fisher, Charles D, Gene Farris, Shiba San, Will Clarke, Cocodrills, Oscar G, Tony Guerra, Joeski, Harry Romero and he’s only getting started.

All of this has gained him the reputation of one of the scene's most on-point party starters. Always one to go with the moment rather than to meticulously plan out sets, what starts off as a casual lunchtime spin to 15 people can easily finish nine hours later to a crowd at least ten times bigger. Misha is helping start a movement and proving himself to be one of Serbia’s finest exports to the DC underground scene.

'Moon Harbour regular Lorenzo De Blanck is back on the label to drop another of his steamy and standout tracks.

Italy's De Blanck is well-schooled in the classics but also keeps his eyes firmly on the future, both in terms of technology as well as his fresh house sounds. They have come on the likes of Hottrax, Saved and Deeperfect but most regularly this label. His style is full of character so he is no stranger to making underground hits and he sure has another one on his hands here.

The brilliant 'Bass Bass' does exactly what it says on the tin - it is a compelling house cut with a heavy but funky low end. Loopy vocals repeat the title to drive crowds wild while zippy synths weave their way in and out next to scattered percussion and quirky melodic details. It's a lively tune, full of fun and with some almost church-like chords finishing it off in a rousing fashion.

This is another white-hot dance floor classic from Lorenzo De Blanck.'
