Following 2023’s acclaimed, chart-topping mixes from Henry Saiz, and Tim Green, Balance have enlisted the services of two masters of their craft in Dave Seaman and Quivver, to curate their next mix compilation release. Style and substance joined at the hip.

With Balance Presents Dave Seaman & Quivver, both artists have reached out far and wide to their producer friends to pull off a real coup. Every track is exclusive to this release - not one track has previously been released. If that’s not enough, the pair have added five exclusive collaborative productions, making this release a perfect snapshot of where Dave Seaman & Quivver are musically right now.

The lead single from the album, Make This Disappear features experienced vocalist Quivver on lead vocals…and even has Dave Seaman making his debut behind the mic contributing backing vocals. A first after more than three decades of making music.

There is also particular excitement about Dave Seaman’s highly sought after, previously unreleased remix of Underworld’s Low Burn, which gets its long overdue release here. Vivrant's sixth release of 2024 marks the Swedish label’s first remix EP of the year and comes in the form of a total of 7 reinterpretations of Jeremy Olander’s classic ‘Steps’.

Contributing artists include Swedish legend and Studio Barnhus co-founder Axel Boman, Brazilian trailblazing talent and Solomun favorite Mila Journée, Giegling associate VRIL, UK Rinse.FM resident Kilig, Vivrant mainstay OLING, Correspondent regular DC Salas, as well as Jeremy Olander himself.

Jeremy says: “Leading up to the 4-year anniversary of the release of ‘Steps’ I wanted to put together
something special. To this day, I’m asked to play the original at almost every show, and I wanted to breathe new life into ‘Steps’ by inviting my favorite producers out there to remix it. Lost & Found deliver the long-awaited, highly anticipated remix package for Khen's 'One Day Of Independence' LP this week. It's a stacked line-up on the release with label boss Guy J himself, Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Termoment and rising star Patrice Baumel all turning in their own takes on cuts from the album. Baumel, who's seized major attention with releases on the likes of Kompakt and Anjunadeep over the last year, provides a sleek, smooth, synth-laden roller for the occasion, taking the original track up a notch in intensity. We're very excited to present the remix in full premiere today :)

In the words of the Amsterdam-based producer himself, Baumel explained "I consider Khen one of the most promising new artists in electronic dance music and was blown away by his album. Sasha's superb remix of alternative indie artist SYML's critically acclaimed single 'The Bird' is out now on Nettwerk

After Sasha's successful collaboration with Kölsch 'The Lights' this year, his remix of 'The Bird' gives the track new wings through a compelling bassline and bubbling staccato percussion, complementing the original haunting vocals and poignant guitar. 

‘When SYML approached me to remix ‘The Bird’, I couldn’t wait to get in the studio’ Sasha says. ‘The original has beautiful ethereal melodies, and incredible vocals, so there were amazing parts to work with. I just had to get the beats right and I’m really happy with how it turned out.’

Always innovative, Sasha is no stranger to reinterpreting music outside the electronic genres. Fans of his audaciously assured reworks of Rüfüs Du Sol's 'Innerbloom' and Klangstof's 'Hostage' will be thrilled with this new offering.

The original release from Seattle-based artist and producer SYML (aka Brian Fennell) was one of the 'Best 11 New Songs We Heard in February (2019)' by NPR: 'takes him to glitchier and more soaring terrain, like some sort of gorgeous pastiche of Hozier and Sigur Rós.'
