Our French amigo Darlyn Vlys returns to his home Sincopat with another special ep along Tunisian and very talented producer HearThuG. After their ‘Atoms of Love’ included in the Vomvo album 02 mixed by AFFKT, the boys come back putting the level even higher than before. 

Agore is a fantastic piece of music between the purest deep and electronica. The great original mix walks thru dark and rich places. Haptic voice is added with his particular and sweet sound. For the Cosmo edit delicate synths are added for a new and nice vision. 

For the remix, the British but established in Berlin Eric Volta offers a film 14 minute trip taking items from different styles. Hard to get a definition, but for sure a stunning and clever version of this Agore. The whole ep is absolutely a surprising journey thru the Electronic Music.

Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. Its been a busy time for Rob Hes since his last appearance on SCI+TEC just over a year ago. His EP ‘The Prophecy’ kicked off a strong run of releases that’s seen him feature on Tronic, ELEVATE, KD Raw and a debut with Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Today the Dutchman returns to SCI+TEC with his latest wares and shows he’s learnt even more ’Tricks of The Trade’.

The cavernous feeling of the title track envelops the listener while its echoing gong and rolling bassline create its fierce groove. Rob ramps things on ‘Who’s The Wolf’, with its sinister synths devastating drive, before we’re treated to the bouncing single note melody and fantastic finalé of ‘The Greater Good’. 

With ‚Tricks of The Trade’ Rob rolls out another SCI+TEC smash confirming, as if it were needed, just why he’s one of the hottest and most in demand producers of today.

American-in-Berlin Ambivalent returns with another precision peak-time EP. Now ten years deep into a body of work released on some of the most influential labels in techno (Ovum, M_nus, Cocoon, Kompakt) Kevin McHugh has chiselled a signature in the core of the techno DNA database. And hes done so while remaining fresh, energetic and hugely creative for DJs. As proved, once again, on Ovum.

Easing us into his hectic analogue hurly burly gracefully, Substantia taps into deep pools of reference,conjuring connotations from May to Amé as the slinky bass almost purrs with plucked charisma and the evangelic synths rise with exulting cadence.

From here we plunge deep into the techno abyss with the vast and thunderous Reversion. Powered by asonic snow-plough of a groove, staccato elements are densely laid to create a blurring sense of confusion, the bigger the system, the better this one gets.

Last but not least its a dark, heads-down affair as McHugh reminds us of his roots and repertoire. Closed is a fantastic techno groove where concrete beats are softened by a perfectly shaped acid line that fluctuates with subtlety and funk. Joined and intertwined with a twinkling arpeggio, the hypnotic allure is irresistible.

For our latest story in sound, Russian-born, classically-trained artist KatrinKa returns to her home label Chapter 24 in collaboration with the British producer, DJ, vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Thomas Gandey.

KatrinKa’s emotive, enticing and melodic grooves are a perfect fit for Gandey’s haunting vocals. The Nameless One is a bewitching follow up to 2015’s Beauty, a combination of dark languid rhythms and exotic scales. Meanwhile, How Does It Feel takes things to deeper, more techno-influenced dancefloors.

The EP is completed by a set of powerful Editions by Chapter 24 artists Sezer Uysal and Stas Drive, with label newcomer and up-and-coming star Tim Engelhardt also making a big impression.

Sezer Uysal (Suara, Manual) applies a cosmic and driving touch to The Nameless One, while emphasising the Eastern musicality of the original. Partial PR: The 47th release on microcastle welcomes Third Son to the label for his debut EP. As one of electronic music's most creative talents Joseph Thomas Price aka Third Son has carved out a unique sound all his own. The UK artist has shaped his sonic palette with a variety of influence's and compositional studies which began at a young age. The underground has fallen in love with Joseph's contemporary vision, which resonates through his tough beats, rugged grooves, modern melodies and heavy percussion. It's a sound that's led him to releases on Einmusika, Noir, Sincopat, Selador, Stil Vor Talent and Suara. Now making his long awaited microcastle debut Third Son presents his much anticipated 'Climb to the Sun' EP alongside remixes from Darlyn Vlys. 

The release begins with its title and showcase piece 'Climb to the Sun' which also features Haptic. The Australian vocalist and UK artist have collaborated on several occasions in the past. The studio synergy between the two is quite strong and 'Climb to the Sun' would have to be considered their most sought after creation to date. Anchored by a tough, triplet style groove the piece builds a dark, mystical presence early. It proves to be the perfect foundation for Haptic's vocals which fill the air with warm, nostalgic and utterly charming motifs. A cavernous break continues the dramatic yet deeply emotional storyboard before a wave of metallic melodies lifts the piece to an exhilarating conclusion. There's a compelling story locked inside this one, which has already resonated with Guy J and Guy Mantzur who featured the track on their recent b2b tour and beyond. In the words of Third Son "Climb to the Sun began as an instrumental, originally created as a closing track. The final section was powerful enough to work in a club, but I felt there was something missing to take it to the next level. Haptic’s inspired vocal work solved this."

Montreal artist @Kora-musique takes the next steps for recently launched New York label Earthly Delights, an imprint centred on spotlighting talents pushing the boundaries of electronic blends. The Canadian producer and DJ picks up the mantle from Yor Kultura, who provided the labels first release in a three tracker titled 'Odyssey'. Kora comes to the label after the well received 'Nuit D'Afrique' and 'Ovo' on Kindisch in November. He treats Earthly Delights to two original cuts in 'Fragile' and 'Vayu'.
