Each year on June 21st the Summer Solstice, Sol Selectas releases the soundtrack of the season, with the annual Summer Sol compilation, featuring deep organic music from a collection of international Artists. 
 
This year Summer Sol VII features 26 tracks of feel good grooves ranging from downtempo, to afro, to organic, to deep, to tribal, to middle eastern, and more. We are pleased to present musicians from over 18 different corners of the world, including Ukraine, Palestine, France, Colombia, Italy, and Turkey to name a few.  We welcome 9 new artists to Sol Selectas, alongside 15 of our label favorites returning to bless us with their unique creative spirit.

Hamburg electronic music duo with Syrian roots Shkoon delivers Underyourskin Records‘ next EP ‘Letters‘ - a musical clash of diverse folk and traditional influences fusing together with a downtempo house vibe. The dreamy ‘Ala Moj Al Bahr‘ plays with the symbiosis between oriental vocals and a desert like desolating sound construct that finds its peak in a melodic discrete synth oriented part that lets you feel the occident. JAVID‘s remix puts more emphasize on the folk elements of the original limiting the vocals to a minimum yet being so on point that the yearning for more is inevitable.

We're Honored to be Premiering the first single 'Ramallah' from Shkoon's new Album ''Rima'', which is set to be released on the 6th of December, sending out a message of cultural diversity to the world. The title track Features Palestinian/Jordanian Singer/Song writer & Rapper ''El Far3i'' from the band '47 soul'.

Musically, the album is situated between influences of electronic downbeat, deep house, dub and hip-hop. The band members come from a variety of different musical backgrounds and have created their very own sound with a mix of influences between the Arabic and Western world.

"Welcome to the Beautiful Morning" - If only every day could begin like the sugar-puff sunrise soundscapes beaming from "Ma Gally", a beautiful 6 track EP from Hot Oasis and singer @weamismail.

Straight from your dreams, the first track "Ya Nahar Ya Gamel" is a shimmering mirage of primal rhythms, featuring the mesmerizing vocals of Weam Ismail. Swiss producer @dandaramusic lends a spoodly, spaced out slow-tech vibe and a sassy saturation of synths to his remix. @djsabo and Alkaline Georgi take the cut for a whirl on the dancefloor, adding a thumping groove and thick slick of chunky bass to the EP’s third rendition of the cut.

The second track "Ma Gale" is purely hypnotic: ethnic techno at its most holy. Weam Ismail is back with his languorous vocals in this swoon-worthy number. Remixed by @flowersonmonday, the same tremulous spirit remains, the cut’s pure instrumentals accentuated with a hot flush of basement ready antics. Care of @iamlum Down to the Sky, the third remix takes on a ceremonial persuasion with its delicate, percussive rich exotica. 

An ode to the oasis: this EP embodies all that is lush. Until the tribe can dance together again, channel the sound of the collective with this glorious EP.
