‘Reborn’ is the fortieth release of Aftertech Records. Green Tolek is a French producer who makes powerful melodic techno, 
a perfect fit to the Aftertech family. This four track EP is accompanied by no one less than our own Reig and Balad who 
show their talents once again in their interpretation of Reborn and Oxe.

“Oxe” begins with a strong and deep kick accompanied by a sweet and mesmerizing melody which slowly grows into something 
more ominous and dark. Together with smartly placed percs and a groovy bassline this is a track which will get the people 
moving on the dancefloor for sure! After a small breakdown, wailing brass sounds echo through space, adding perfectly to 
the wonderful atmosphere which Green Tolek has created in Oxe. A job very well done!

As the dust settles on our 100th release celebrations with all its pomp and ceremony, it’s time to get back to life, back to reality, to what we do best, back to the business of serving up the freshest, quality club music from some of the world’s finest electronic music producers. 

And what better way to do that than with a debut EP for the label from Christian Nielsen. It’s likely that anyone with even a passing interest in dance music will have encountered the Danish Producer’s work at some point. Through his releases on such esteemed labels as Kompakt, Toolroom and  FFRR, his resumé speaks for itself. 

Here he offers a brace of heavenly creations in ‘After Midnight’ & ‘Indestructible’ with two of our most trusted label stalwarts, EdOne & Florian Kruse both chipping in with their own perspectives, adding further weight to an already hefty package. 

In many ways, this EP exemplifies all we stand for with its finger firmly on-the-pulse of contemporary dance music, full of flair and imagination yet unwavering in its primary objective, to light up the dance floor.

Danish DJ & producer, Christian Nielsen, is an artist who seemed to come out of nowhere. Working in an office by day and developing his musical craft by night. His classic sound already gained popularity most notably on Gorge and Nick Curly’s 8BIT and Jesse Rose’s Play it Down. With influences from Kerri Chandler, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann and the late Frankie Knuckles, he’s a firm advocate of dance-floor ready house and is one of the most interesting producers to arrive on our radar of late.

Born in Spain, with a musical ear since a young age, EdOne began to release music in 2013. His first label was VIVa MUSiC of Steve Lawler followed by labels such as Defected & Material. In 2014 he joined forces with Bodden & produced a track called ‘Do It’ on OFF Recordings that hit the Beatport’s Top 2. He’s played around Europe in clubs like Lightbox (London) and Lauter Unfug (Luxembourg). After a serious accident, he went through recovery and restarted his career as a solo artist, releasing on Definition, Endless, Stil vor Talent, and Suara. 2017 was an important year with gigs in Germany at Ritter Butzke (Berlin), Odonien (Cologne), Musikbunker (Aachen), Tanzhaus West (Frankfurt), and Verboten (Mainz), amongst many others.

Our big kahuna Marc Martinez aka AFFKT proves again that he is not afraid of going against the rules with his open-minded Cold Sweat EP for Sincopat. Three powerful original tracks plus an exquisite remix by the Mexican amazing talent Theus Mago.
Fireworks light up with 'Samorra', a strong electronic piece with hypnotic bass and outstanding filters, be sure that the test in the club will reach madness. On remix duties we got the eclectic and innovative Theus Mago delivering a really huge re-interpretation of the track, adding even more organic flavoured notes to the picture. Sobek makes a welcome return to Chapter 24 with an impactful EP built around title track 'Charmer' and a set of quality Editions from David Mayer, STATUE and Colossio.

Named after the Egyptian crocodile god, Sobek channels inspiration from a reptile of a different kind here. 'Charmer' is a pulsating afro techno cut anchored around a hypnotic synth line bound to enchant dancefloor and serpents alike.

David Mayer, veteran of Objektivity, Mobilee and Keinemusik adds a dose of unpredictability on his rework, upping the ante with a rolling techy bassline offset by wistful pads for an exciting, unstable feel that satisfyingly just holds together.

Australian STATUE takes the reins next, art house influences meeting warehouse techno for a remix that sits well alongside releases on Futureboogie, Cin Cin and Le Temps Perdu.

Finally Mexican Colossio closes the package with a solid dose of acid on his standout wonky techno Latin Papi Edition.

Decidí ponerle este nombre a mi track por el significado del capítulo 5 de “The Midnight Gospel” que habla sobre la rueda del Samsara y así plasmarlo en mi carrera artística y con suerte ayudar a otros “artistas de closet”.
En resumen el Samsara es la rueda del ciclo de la vida en el cual uno dependiendo de las acciones que tomo en su vida se determina si este trasciende hacia la iluminación o desciende.
Muchos de nosotros estamos iniciando este camino en el cual trabajamos en nuestros proyectos ya sea de música, pintura, cine, fotografía, etc... y rara vez sacamos nuestras creaciones a la luz por miedo al rechazo, a las críticas o a que el proyecto en sí no es lo suficientemente bueno en comparación de algo profesional.
El problema es que si nosotros realmente queremos llegar a ese punto de “iluminación” en este caso llegar al “profesionalismo”, tenemos que pasar por este proceso de “sufrimiento” creado por nuestras inseguridades, si o si. Tenemos que trabajar en mejorar nuestros errores y aprender de nuestros fracasos.
Lo más importante en este camino es que tenemos que aprender a encariñarnos de todas nuestro proceso y de nuestras creaciones por el simple hecho de que son nuestras y es un regalo de nuestro SER para el mundo.
Todo lo que hagamos es hecho con pasión con ganas de transformar a los demás a algo positivo y buscamos esa conexión con el arte, no con la fama ni con el dinero.
Entonces ahora más que nunca es cuando necesitamos que todos esos artistas que están escondidos con sus obras, salgan a la luz y empiecen a transformar a este mundo en algo que realmente venga del corazón con intenciones buenas.
