On the milestone of our 5th release, we gave ourselves at Ritter Butzke Studio a very special gift - A release by no other than Schlepp Geist. He is presenting us his "Back to the Basics EP”: Please dive in with us too, and feel the unique theme in every single track of this piece. All along the EP, the honest "hand-made" House music surrounds you, riddled with vocals by Schlepp Geist himself. No bells and whistles here. The cherry on top is a great remix by "Mr.Vibe" Patryk Molinari!

The opening title track "Back to the Basics" sets the direction instantly. Massive analog drumming, deep lead basses, pitched synthesized melody, sprinkled with catchy vocals - This piece is a synthesis of the arts! Right after this kick you will find the A2 "Purple Horizon": A Deep, spherical track with the intense DNA as its big brother – a definite must have for the upcoming Festivals & Open-Air season!

Welcome to the B-Side. Which we find as giving the proper contrast to this release. Starting with “Urban Camouflage" original mix, which shows the laid-back angle of Schlepp Geist. This is an impressive marvelous, atmospheric track, with dreamy pads and soothing warm vocals, which is exactly the element that is built upon the remix of Patryk Molinari, which presents it in an uplifting approach that respects the vitality of the original nevertheless.

The moment you will listen to the tracks yourself, you will feel the confidence of this release. We think of it as a unique musical cinema!

Miguel Migs - What Do You Want feat. Meshell Ndegeocello (Rodriguez Jr. Remix)

Rain and Love

After his well received and well charted ‘The Poem’ in 2014, Benny Grauer now returns to Sasse’s Moodmusic with his excellent ‘Falling EP’ complete with remixes from Markus Homm and Moodmusic’s very own Affect!.
Benny Grauer is known for his Deep Circus imprint, and the German also has a fine reputation for crafting classy house and techno on labels like Blue Fin and Poker Flat Recordings. Here he serves up two more top tunes that are sure to get plenty of airtime this summer.
The fantastic ‘Falling’ opens things up with six minutes of slick and atmospheric deep house. Powered by upright kicks and filled out with some spacious, widescreen synths, it is a subtle cut that has a rousing and frazzled set of chords growing in stature from the mid point. Hands will surely be in the air come the arresting second half.
The other fine original from Grauer is ‘Other End,’ a patient and slow burning cut that bubbles up and over thanks to some more fine synth work. The beats are rolling, rugged and rich and invite you to lose yourself in them as your head latches onto the spooky synths.
Highgrade and Act Natural veteran Markus Homm then steps up to tackle ‘Falling’ with real skill. He does so with a more dubby style, layering in wobbling bass and smooth hits as well as big, dramatic bass strokes that really elevate the groove.
Last but not least, label regular Affect! again draws on his classical instrumental background to cook up a stirring remix of ‘Other End.’ His slick version is filled with a subtle sense of menace, brooding bass and late night mischief.
Once more, then, Moodmusic has come up with the same moving deep house goods that have made it such an essential label for 20 years now.

Tim Green's ''Only Time Remains' release gets an impressive remix pack this month from Berlin label Get Physical. The reworks come courtesy of two well respected titans in Crosstown Rebels regular Francesca Lombardo and No Idea's Original boss Huxley. That's not all, we've got a big treat for you today as we showcase the dynamite remix from the latter. The UK tech maestro Huxley has delivered a slow-winding groover with a hypnotic, eery air to it. Most definitely one for the dark of the night. He retains some of Green's original synthwork while floating it over his own foundation.

Sex Of Insects share I Can Hear The Light EP to be released on the 21st of July with a single of the same name to be released on the 30th of June on Ylotana Music. Sex Of Insects career highlights include playing at the Gazgolder Club (Moscow), working with Sid Le Rock, Luke vB and Hiroshi Watanabe. 

Sex Of Insects was formed in May 2016 by guitarist, Anatoly Ylotana (Ylotana Project) and includes Alexandra Bartashevich (Vocals) and Roman Korablove (Rhythm). After meeting Alexandra Bartashevich, Anatoly knew that the project had found itself a new image thanks to her talented and original performance. Anatoly met with Roman Korablove shortly after the disappearance of their original Rhythm producer and has since been helping guide the band into a completely new sound. At its core lies a complete improvisation of guitar sounds and vocals mixed with some vibrant electronic grooves. Guaranteed uniqueness with an almost complete absence of synthesisers. Anatoly lists their influences as Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and more recently Underworld, Daft Punk and Danny Tenaglia.

Berlin-based producer, Yapacc's take on the original see's him transferring the song into a dancefloor-ready track whilst subtly maintaining the ambience of the original. Off-beat house-esque sub-rhythms and a melodic bassline helps to keep the energy of the track moving forward, whilst the top end guitars and vocals keep the listener interest up until the very last second. Russian-based Dave Pad's remix also helps the original move onto the dancefloor with this incredibly funky, groovy-laiden back beat which simultaneously manages to hold onto the original tracks esthetical ambience. Euphoric house stabs and a continuous layered texture sits behind the tracks groove, adding a sense of nostalgia and depth to an already emotive original.

URSULA RUCKER
Ursula Rucker is a Philadelphia born poet, mother, activist and recording artist. She has been performing, recording and releasing works for over 20 years. Ursula has traveled and toured extensively, throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Africa…sharing her poetry…her heart and soul. She is dedicated to art as/for social change…and committed to freedom fighting, truth-telling and peace-(and a little trouble ;) making through her chosen art form. Ursula believes in taking her art as far as it can go…whether it be through teaching, activism, lecturing, conducting workshops, merging it with music and recording or rocking mics and stages.
To date, Ursula has released five solo albums (Supa Sista, Silver or Lead, ma’at mama, Ruckus Soundsysdom, SHE SAID)…as well as collaborated on over 100 songs, in a wide array of musical genres, with producers/artists from around the world (such as King Britt, Bahamadia, The Roots, 4 Hero, Jazzanova, Louie Vega, Incognito). Currently, Ursula is working on her 6th solo album, and planning her first book project...and always looking forward to making and sharing art with the people in as many ways as possible.

REY&KJAVIK
Rey&Kjavik became a mobilee mainstay in the past months with a busy release schedule providing a very own sound signature to the label.
With his interpretation of ´Spaces In Between´ he added another layer of spiritual sound fragments that he probably recorded himself during one of his adventurous trips to the hidden corners of our planet.
