Solid Grooves serve up a five-track sampler featuring label founders PAWSA and Michael Bibi alongside label favourites ONNO, Reelow and Dennis Cruz.

Launching in September last year, Solid Grooves Records has been on an upwards trajectory ever since. The London and Ibiza brand are now about to kick-start their weekly Ibiza event series every Thursday at Vista Club where their core artists will share the decks with special guests throughout the summer. In light of this the founders have curated five tracks from some of their core roster that’s illustrative of the Solid Grooves musical aesthetic.

First up, Dennis Cruz ‘Fever’ is a rumbling track boasting echoing percussion and a heady spoken word sample. Michael Bibi then drops a moody number teeming with syncopated rhythms and chopped vocals before ONNO unleashes a cavernous cut named ‘Body Shake’ that’s geared for the peaktime. Next, PAWSA ‘Luster’ is a bass fuelled roller that takes no prisoners until Reelow concludes the package with the intricate ‘Shaolin Slap’.

The autumn has arrived and we are ready to start the dark and sweaty club season with SNOEflakes #2. Again four various and immensely talented artists are presented in the format that successfully brought you some of the biggest hits this summer.

In the second edition of SNOEflakes label boss Andreas Henneberg’s “Confusion” is right on point. A powerful track combining strong synths and an interestingly misleading and fascinating vocal, building some big momentum as it moves forward. Not Usual continues in a lighter mood with “Tasty”, a proper Tech-House banger serving us feisty percussions and an incredibly catchy groove. A new edition on SNOE, Alec Troniq is setting the standard of what to expect from him with “We’ve Been 1000”. The track shows his mastery of uplifting, proper club music through its strong characteristics made up by the solid bassline and the crooked and, oh so charming, synth work. Our Dutch friends Kamara’s track “Motor City” perfectly rounds up the EP with it’s addictive groove rolling climaxing in a dreamy break taking it to the next level. We have been very lucky to have so many high qualitative tracks coming together for our second SNOEflakes, now it is your turn to enjoy.

Following on from Hector Couto’s ‘Parental Advisory’ EP, which touched down on Roush in March, DJ.T, Ralph Lawson and Rui-Z make their way to the label this October to deliver two fresh, impressive remixes.

Known as one of the most respected artists within house, Hector Couto has gone on to set a remarkable standard since his production debut in 2008, with notable releases on the likes of Hot Creations, Get Physical, Moon Harbour to name just a few. Here we see formidable Berlin based DJ / producer DJ.T, 20/20 boss Ralph Lawson and emerging talent Rui-Z welcomed to the imprint to put their own stamps on two of Couto’s original cuts.

Our Debut Transmission today is the interpretation from Ralph Lawson & Rui-Z  which retains the bubbling make up of Couto’s ‘Like This’, whilst introducing a bumping low-end, shuffling hats and rugged kicks to reveal a track aimed firmly at the dancefloor. Hector Couto ‘Parental Advisory (The Remixes)’ drops on Roush on 31st October 2016.

Hector Couto’s Roush imprint opens 2017 with it’s first of three samplers set to drop throughout the year as the label heads to BPM Festival, boasting the likes of Javi Bora, Los Pastores and Arado.
With Couto at the helm, Roush has rapidly gone on to establish itself as one of the key imprints within the world of house over the past three years. With artists such as Steve Rachmad, Darius Syrossian, & DJ W!ld touching down since the labels debut in late 2013, attention now turns to Playa del Carmen, with the Roush team assembling a collective of worldwide talent to curate their ‘On & On BPM Sampler’.
First up, Spaniard Vozmediano welcomes the sunshine from the off with a medley of playful vocals and warming riffs in ‘Back2Soul’, before Arado’s driving ‘Broken Dog’ comes forth, armed with a menacing groove and crisp hats. Liverpool based producer James Organ then introduces the thunderous ‘Beat The Slump’, before Oblack founders Los Pastores provide a delicate break in proceedings, laying down a trademark combination of organic percussion patterns and elegant pads throughout ‘Make Ends Meet’.
Next, Black Girl / White Girl raise the tempo once again with the rolling ‘Closure’, whilst Jacabo Padilla and Javi Bora & IAAM strip things back and gets percussive through ‘On A Roll’ and ‘Time To Tool’, with both cuts clearly aimed towards the sands and sees of the Mexican coast. Closing out the package, Italy’s Atove pairs up with Londoner Apollo84 to drop the rumbling ‘Back All Night’, Le Vinyl & Omez merge male vocals and coos with bubbling 303 lines in ‘Guasapens’, before UK trio Wax On Mare St. tie everything together in fine style with their excellent groove focused cut ‘Road Bloc’.

Montreal artist @Kora-musique takes the next steps for recently launched New York label Earthly Delights, an imprint centred on spotlighting talents pushing the boundaries of electronic blends. The Canadian producer and DJ picks up the mantle from Yor Kultura, who provided the labels first release in a three tracker titled 'Odyssey'. Kora comes to the label after the well received 'Nuit D'Afrique' and 'Ovo' on Kindisch in November. He treats Earthly Delights to two original cuts in 'Fragile' and 'Vayu'. The pair have already seen much support  from the likes of Acid Pauli, Hernan Cattaneo, Oliver Schories, as well as heavy rotation on the playa. White Ocean founder Timujin supplies the remix action, reworking his own top notch version of 'Fragile'. Today, we're very excited to present to you in full premiere 'Fragile' in its original mix. This is an incredibly emotive cut, which fuses two distant worlds in one exquisite concoction. Soft pads, beautiful rhythms and a distinct eastern vibe mark the latest footprint in the journey of the young music maker. Release date - January 16th, 2017.

Amsterdam’s own Black Girl / White Girl line up their debut release on Max Chapman’s Resonance Records with their ‘Tales Of Light’ EP, featuring the deep, whimsical and driving house cut ‘Crazy Joe’.
 
Since emerging on the global club circuit due to standout releases on Flashmob, Roush, Lapsus and Smiley Fingers among others, the Dutch duo have blossomed into more experienced producers and DJs who know how to work a dancefloor with ease. Plus, with early support from the likes of John Digweed, Riva Starr and Santé, they’ve gained valuable insight to continue their path. 
 
Now, as they grace Resonance for the first time, ‘Crazy Joe’ embodies the essence of their sound with irresistible rhythms and a playful nature that’s primed to be a club favorite. The track is inspired by a notorious NY mobster named Joe Gallo and the new release focuses on the art of telling a story through music.
 
“Storytelling is something we really dig and don’t see done like this very often in house and techno,” says Ty and Karin. “That connection between story, sonics, and spoken word was the main focal point within these two tracks. That, and an absolutely monstrous bottom end."
