Having released his debut EP in June of this year, the Dublin based producer Tyvion Valentine fires out a follow up release for Street Tracks.  A brace of tracks on the ‘Understand’ EP comes backed with a remix from Mr. Sosa (Last Night On Earth/Needwant).

Lead track, ‘Understand’, is an esoteric vocal track, the electro-tinged beats and waves of melodic pads are heightened further by the brisk tempo and reverbed ambience that Valentine formulates.  A clever and unique sounding track that’s deep and infectious.  On ‘Body’, a similar sound aesthetic is set; choppy and intricate beat programming anchor another high energy production, as a spritely bass melody propels another intriguing mix of effected vocals and uplifting synth riffs.

Having already made a splash on Sasha’s Last Night On Earth label, as well as appearances on Anjunadeep and Needwant Records, Mr. Sosa turns in a remix of ‘Body’ that stretches the original out with broken electro rhythms, gorgeous thick 303 acid tones and a bumping groove that exemplifies just why we will be hearing much more of his sounds over the coming months.

Meg Ward returns to Needwant records with the driving club heater, ‘Last All Night’

Starting out with a heavy beat and driven synth wailing like a siren, ‘Last All Night’ is recognisable as a Meg Ward track from the get go. The vocal hook immediate captures your attention and despite it being built around the phrase ‘No energy’ it’s bound to fill you with the opposite and gear you up to last all night on the dance floor. 

The Leicester local gained a huge amount of momentum throughout 2021, releasing 3 singles and 2 remixes including an acid house inspired remix of Metronomy’s comeback track ‘It’s good to be back’. With impressive productions and pumping DJ sets, Meg Ward will no doubt be making noise this summer.
