'We welcome GIGEE back to mobilee after the success of „Lullaby EP” with a topic that is very close to our hearts, that of our hometown Berlin. Inspiring many over the decades, we are happy to hear a 2022 expression of love for our unique late night universe.

"Berlin" tells the tale of historic walls that whilst concrete and grey, exude so much warmth. Driving beats and transcendental moments join that tongue in cheek fun and randomness that a long night into day here brings.

Next up, "Grindeveld" takes the listener on a lighter but no less monumental journey complete with those stomping beats. Completing the EP, "Azurblau" brings a deep groove alongside a wild story of peaking synths.

With their subfrequency engines run hot, Green Lake Project recently made a stop at a certain pub at the outermost corner of the galaxy. Coincidentally, they met a time-travelling singer / groovewriter named Andy’s Echo who was passing through from some place in the future. The rest of that night became a spectacle of truly cosmic dimensions... Here’s a rare recording of that event, making it accessible through terrestrial ears: The Breach is heaving Space Techno with the emotive soul of a voice dancing on its liquid surface. This memorable dancefloor event is complemented by a masterfully crafted remix from DJ and producer veteran D-Nox. Also, GLP shared with us a hyperreal simulation named Storm At The Moon. A melody spreads through the human mind like some kind of technicoloured star dust, and the human body control surrenders ever so imperceptibly to the hypnotic functionality of the tight rhythm.

Mit heiß gelaufenen Tieffrequenz-Triebwerken ist das Green Lake Project neulich an einer gewissen Bar am Rande der Galaxie gelandet. Wie es der Zufall wollte sind sie dort einem zeitreisenden Sänger und Groovemacher namens Andy's Echo aus der Zukunft begegnet. Der Rest jenes Abends ist seither Teil von Legenden, und hier gibt es einen heiß gehandelten Mitschnitt davon für irdische Ohren: The Breach ist rollender Weltraum Techno, auf dessen flüssiger Oberfläche die Seele einer Stimme tanzt. Ergänzt wird dieses denkwürdige Dancefloor-Ereignis von einem meisterlich geschliffenen und polierten Remix aus der Hand von DJ- und Produzenten-Veteran D-Nox. Außerdem teilen GLP die lebensechte Simulation von Storm At The Moon mit uns. Eine Melodie breitet sich im menschlichen Denkapparat aus wie das Programmiercode-Fragment einer künstlichen Intelligenz, und die Körperkontrolle gibt sich unbemerkt dem auf hypnotische Funktionalität optimierten Rhythmus hin.

Sandhog (with an upcoming release on Blue Shadow Rec) lands on Exploited Ghetto with an excellent EP that truly stands out from the crowd and which was already supported by Chaim heavily. 

‘Endless Dimension’ is a quirky, mystical track driven by a rubbery, bouncing bassline, springy hi-hats and a plump kick. The rest is left to a heady mixture of squelchy synths, Eastern flute sounds, the resonant twangs of a mouth harp and peaceful birdsong. Rolling bongo rhythms and gentle snare rolls add flavour at the right moments, while the synth modulation adds to the track’s living, breathing feel.

AIKON provides a deeper, chunkier remix, taking an almost early 1990s progressive house feel. The atmospheric feels are dialled up, and a hypnotic drive is created. Filtered electric guitar chords add another psychedelic touch, and the mouth harp is looped to brilliant effect to create an evolving pulse that undulates through the track. The reverb on the flutes also adds a lot to their mysterious feel, putting you in the mind of a wild jungle trek.

‘Penang’, named after the Malaysian state, shows Sandhog in a more dancefloor-focused stride. A snappy rhythm and monotone bass pulses underpin fizzing synth blasts. Bluesy guitar licks interplay with proto-trance synth sweeps to make for an unusual melange. Electric guitar plucks add to the swinging groove, trippy vocals add another layer of energy and the whole affair is a refreshingly different and colourful experience. It’s a unique sound indeed.
