Pornbugs are a DJ and Producer duo who have been creating captivating music for the dancefloor since 2005. Here, they blend deep, tech-house, and minimal-house with soulful grooves to create an immersive dancefloore xperience. Pornbugs are known for keeping it real–and so is their raw and uplifting sound focuses on authenticity, quality, and honesty. Moreover, Pornbugs’ music has become known for its ability to connect people with their hearts and a deeper place in their souls. With their passion for pushing musical boundaries and constantly evolving their sound, Pornbugs have quickly made their mark. No wonder their sets have taken them to play in venues in North and South America and Europe, e. g. New York, Sao Paulo, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, London, and Barcelona. Still today, after more than 15 years, Pornbugs distinctive sound can be experienced at their "Bondage-Music Label Nights" in various locations in Berlin and their residency at the “Circle“-parties in Prague.

Almost at the same time as founding their DJ duo, they decided to start their label, BondageMusic, in 2006.With the label, they wanted to provide a platform for themselves and other artists to release their unique sound and bring the idea of captivating music to life. Since then, the label has be comeaforce to be reckoned with in global electronic dance music and was releasing music from talented artists such as Markus Homm, Dilby, James Dexter, Sascha Dive, and Mihai Popoviciu, to name a few. Bondage Music also hosts a weekly radio show every Sunday from 23:00 to midnight on Ibiza Global Radio, where you can listen to the label artists. Pornbugs are also working on further own releases in 2023, starting with an EP on the Acker Dub label in January 2023, followed by an EP on the Klauselle label and a track together with Cristina Lazic on Bondage-Music in February 2023 as well as another EP on the label Sublease Music, a sublabel of Steve Bugs Pokerflat label. Mihai Popoviciu is a pioneering force in Romania’s electronic music scene, known for his distinctive minimal yet soulful approach to house and techno. Growing up in post-communist Romania during the 1990s, he found himself drawn to the fresh and boundary-pushing sounds of electronic music, a stark contrast to the mainstream landscape of the time. Inspired by underground parties in Sibiu and the creative energy of Cluj, Mihai honed his craft in an emerging scene that encouraged experimentation and innovation.With early releases on respected labels like Highgrade and Dessous, he quickly established himself as a producer with a unique sonic signature—deep, hypnotic, and effortlessly groovy. His work, including his own imprint, Cyclic Records, has contributed to the global rise of Romanian minimal and house music, bringing warmth and emotion to its refined aesthetic.Through his carefully curated mixes and live sets, Mihai continues to captivate audiences worldwide, staying true to his ethos of quality over excess.

It's always a special moment when we get to feature artists that we have loved for many years and have the opportunity to include in our guest mix series. Mihai Popoviciu is no exception and we are very excited to have him onboard for this one!

Every artist has a signature—and Mihai is no exception. For over a decade, the acclaimed Romanian producer and DJ has crafted a distinctive sound defined by deep grooves, sharp precision, and an infectious, understated energy.

As well as his impeccable production skills, Mihai has gained recognition, both in Romania and abroad. From growing up watching clubs on TV to playing in them across the world, Mihai’s journey came full circle. His CV now includes iconic venues like Berghain and Watergate in Berlin, Fabric and The Egg in London, D-Edge in São Paulo, and DC-10 in Ibiza.
