The summer might be almost over, but GrooveTraxx is just getting started with an impressive vinyl debut. Label boss Le Babar teams up with fellow Belgian Pat Lezizmo for a delightful piece of underground House music that sets the groove and gets you going on the dance floor. Deep basslines, fresh drums and a simple melody are some of the ingredients to 'Another Love', but it's that oh so special vocal hook that really sets the mood. On the flip, two remixes complete the already-impressive 12'. Golf Clap give the track a more laidback-vibe with their trademark classy smoothness, while Scott Diaz turns it into a never ending pumping beast, perfect for those peak time moments. ┋Mira presents 'Tributo de los Andes' Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 83┋

Unser Podcast Nummer 83 kommt diese Woche von niemanden Geringerem als von der bezaubernden und umwerfenden Mira. 

Lange Jahre beeinflusste Mira die ost-deutsche Techno-Szene bevor sie vor ca. 10 Jahren ihre musikalische Heimat in der legendären BAR25 in Berlin, später Kater Holzig und jetzt Kater Blau fand. Während ihrer Zeit in Berlin hat sie ihren ureigenen Sound geformt, der an endlose Nächte voller Wunder und Gefühlstiefe erinnert.

In der Bar25 war es auch, wo sich Miras Wege zum ersten Mal mit Chris Schwarzwalder, NU und Jo Ke kreuzten; daraus entstanden sind nicht nur lebenslange Freundschaften sondern auch kreativer musikalischer Austausch, Kooperationen und ein nicht enden wollender Output an toller Musik.

Jeder, der selbst schon einmal in den Genuss ihrer endlosen Sets gekommen ist, versteht sofort warum ganz Berlin ihren speziellen Sound so sehr schätzt. Warm und  hypnotisierend geht er unter deine Haut und lässt dich mit einem Gefühl tiefer Verbundenheit zurück.

About Tuğçe Kurtiş: 

Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, Tuğçe grew up with a love for music, especially music performance. Since age 6, she has performed as a singer in countless occasions in Turkey, the US, Brazil, Costa Rica and Paraguay. She has collaborated as a singer, songwriter, and co-producer with Paraguayan musician & producer Santi on three albums: Cíclico (2014), Songs for Another Day (2015), and El Regreso del Gallito (2016). She has also released three singles: Donde Va (2016), Sevda Çiçeği (2016) and Backflash (2015). 

These days, Tuğçe is working on two albums for the upcoming year and exploring her new found passion for making mixtapes. As the founder of the Kybele project, she is also developing opportunities for greater collaboration and broader inclusion of artists from around the world.

ABOUT Ukik:

Ukik is just the opposite of her real name: Kiku. She was born into a Japanese family in Germany. Kiku means Chrysanthemum: a flower which gets up by herself when trod. But as she is not only a flower which stays in one place, her friends had the idea to turn it around to  U-Kik (“you-kick“).

Kiku's curiosity led her to travel to many places in the world and learn different languages to understand and feel different cultures from the inside. Having grown up with classical music, she felt more and more attracted to strong and "bad" music like Rock and Techno. During her trip to Brasil, she was fascinated by samba, Bossa nova and Mpb. After starting to live in Berlin, the world came to her and so did world music.
When someone likes so many different kinds of music, there comes a wish to unite them into one beautiful piece. It is like when you want to invite all your friends with different interests and different kind of energies to your place for a wonderful and unforgettable evening with good conversations and laughter.
