"I will never forget my first burn in 2008. Searching for good music on the playa back then was not as easy as recent years. Every corner was blasting either dubstep or electro type of genres  which was not in my interest and finding Robot Heart by accident during a night time adventure with my friends was one of the best find on the playa. 2008 was also Robot Heart's 1st year in Burning Man and as I remember I was one of the 100 people dancing right in front of it and dreaming that one day I will be playing on this amazing stage on wheels. It was only few years after that on the night Damian Lazarus took over the bus with his party called "Rebel Heart". After that night my whole perspective on music completely changed and I was so influenced by that night's unheard music that I made a record called "Rebel Heart" as soon as I got home from the Burn, which shaped up my whole career in the right direction. It was such an honor to finally make the dream come true and be part of Robot Heart's line up last year. Big thank you to Robot Heart crew for making this happen and taking great care of me while I was performing on Wednesday night. Looking forward for more exciting years to come."

If you are a dedicated electronic music fan, there really is no need to give you too much of an introduction into the world of 16 Bit Lolitas. For those that are uninitiated, welcome to a whole new world. 

The Dutch duo of Ariaan Olieroock and Peter Kriek have been around since the early 00's, releasing the sort of productions which always reserved space in many revered DJ bags. They received worldwide recognition with tracks like ‘Murder Weapon’, ‘Nobody Seems To Care’, ‘Sedna’ and remixes for the likes of Sander Kleinenberg and Armin van Buuren.

Where many early-00's prog producers faded away, 16BL endured its heyday to stay as relevant today as they were a decade ago. Lately, the 16 Bit Lolitas have been focusing some of that energy into their side project, Cubicolor; a project with Tim Digby-Bell which of late has been gaining some serious momentum, even seeing them receive some attention outside of the club scene (they 'are currently working hard on the new Cubicolor album').

For their Balance excursion the Dutch boys have kept to form with a beautifully crafted selection of tracks and remixes from artists like Patrice Baumel, Trikk, Audiofly, Adriatique and more. And needless to say, 16BL have delivered a masterful mix.

Bigasti was born in the eighties and developed his passion for music during his childhood and by playing the drums with his brother.
Without musical education but driven by his sheer interest in electronic music he started around producing in 2013 – an appreciated contrast to his daily routine in the office of a multinational cooperation. This was the year the project “Bigasti” was born. Since then, he spends a lot of his spare time producing.

After one year Bigasti released his first track in 2014 on the France based INLAB recordings. In 2016, he released a free track on the renowned German music community KLANGEXTASE, an EP on Electronical Reeds and an EP on Kuukou Records with his german friend and producer Moe Danger.

He takes his inspiration from nature and wild areas. His fascination of mystic nature sceneries is reflected in his dark melodies and mellow beats integrated in a unique atmospheric style.

In summer 2015 and together with his Swiss Friend Floloco he started Schirmchendrink, a quickly growing electronic underground music podcast and soon record label.

With tasteful and acclaimed releases since inception and more notably, recently, Chapter 24 has been currying the favor of music enthusiasts, and despite the assiduous biblio-references, drew in both booklovers and non-readers alike. After a decade and a half of friendship, the co-founders and brains (and brainy, at that) of the well grounded and versed label, once and for all decided to take their dynamic tandem into a more artistic level. Having done well with their record label, and in their individual careers as DJ and DJ/producer respectively, Marcus Blacker, widely known as Mas Black, and Sam Pauli, further their relationship with each other and with music through their VVerses project. Fresh out of the bag in their new moniker, the promising and complementary duo had a quick chat with Torture the Artist in Amsterdam during ADE, and picked up where they left off, now right from their homebase in London, to talk about the past as Sam and Marcus, present as Sam & Mas Black of Chapter 24, and future as VVerses (and of course, still as all above), meanwhile indulging in some of their favorite activities - ‘storytelling,’ reveling in contradictions and even a bit of music compilation. With their latest art:cast the duo delivers a potpourri of music that inspired them through the past years of their musical journey.
