Exploring the meanders of electronic music, his music is focused on drum machine rhythms, abstract percussive sounds and analog/digital synthesizers reminiscent of IDM and obscure ambient music. 

He attended the Red Bull Music Academy Montréal in 2016, he released music on Hivern Discs, Ninja Tune, Garzen Records and hosts a monthly radio show at Rinse France inspired by experimental, soundtrack music, krautrock, new wave and more.

Blessing the series this week is the French producer and sound engineer Krikor. The Paris-based musical polyglot started releasing his work in the late 90's as part of the French Touch scene while developing a live performance that started seeing the light of day around 2001. Since then, he's also built op a reputable body of work with releases on labels such as Tigersushi, L.I.E.S. records,  and many others. This doesn't even include the numerous aliases and groups he forms a part of such as Plein Soleil with Chloé, who is the founder of the Kill the DJs label. As a DJ, he was featured on this year's Sensor Festival and Optimismo Festival as well as club nights in the Berghain. Lock in for an idiosyncratic selection of raw electronics touching from ambient to left-field techno. Lock in!

Off The Record this month takes a dive into the mind of Chicago artist and musician Beau Wanzer. 
Wanzer is commonly known for records on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. imprint as well as working with labels like Brew, L.A. Club Resource, iDEAL, Natural Sciences, and Nation. His in touch ear with industrial, electro and experimental music has seen him work alongside the likes Traxx and Steve Summers as the excellent Mutant Beat Dance, Dan Jugle as the head banging Juzer and more recently De-Bons-en-Pierre with Maoupa Mazzocchetti. 
For this mix Wanzer goes no holds bared into the world of tape culture with noisey and hissing electro and synth tunes as well as some chuggy industrial moments. We had a quick chat with Beau about the mix and what he has coming up!

Beau Wanzer’s entry for Bleep’s mix series sees the Chicago mainstay present a selection of rare gems of which he refers to as ‘degenerate duds’. Across the course of an hour, tracks from Emily Faryna, Culturcide, BA25+ and more are blended together from a variety of sources in order to deliver both beat-based thrills and abstract delights. The danceable tunes here tend towards twisted takes on the lo-fi sounds of Wanzer’s studio output - the fringes of Belgian New Beat, L.I.E.S. and more recently Delroy Edwards L.A. Club Resource-style freakbeat and minimal wave are all explored here.
