Whetstone Baptist Church is a vibrant and active church, hosting three services on a Sunday and running midweek small groups which offer a more personal setting to explore and deepen faith with typically 8-12 others. We have dedicated prayer and pastoral groups and a wide range of adult, young person, and child ministry groups. We also have our own playgroup and parish nurse, amongst other activities.

We are pleased to bring you another Message in the Series on Core Values. Our Senior Minister Rev Phil Robinson teaches this week on the importance that we should be Community Engaged as Christians,  the Bible reading taken from Acts 2 v 42 - 47. 
Now we are in Springwell our new Church we are able to all meet together at one Service.  This Sunday there were over 250 present and we have included one of the Worship songs on this recording.

We are pleased to bring you the final Message on Core Values. Our teaching today is by our Minister in Training Simon Clay.  Open your Bible at Acts 13 v 1 -3.
Acts 13[13:1] Now in the church at Antioch* there were prophets* and teachers:* Barnabas,* Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene,* Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod* the tetrarch) and Saul. [2] While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,* “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work* to which I have called them.”* [3] So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them* and sent them off.*

Next Sunday 6th March ,  we are starting a mini series on the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, picking up the emphasis of our motto verse: Zechariah 4 v 6 for 2022.  Phil  will be teaching  from Ezekiel 37 1 -14 and the service will include anointing with oil  to empower us in our service. I hope it will be a powerful and inspirational time.

WBC Messages - 270222 - Simon Clay - Core Value - Collaboratively Governed

After finishing our teaching on our Core Values today we begin a short Series about the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament.  Rev Phil Robinson our Senior Minister brought us teaching from Ezekiel 37      
v 1 - 14 which is the vision Ezekiel had of the Valley of dry bones.  During the message Phil reminded us that we have just moved into a new building and it can be a new start for Whetstone and an opportunity for us as a  Church to move into a new season of the Holy Spirit. At the end the Message we were encouraged to come forward for prayer.  Many did come  forward and received prayer and the anointing of oil.  This is the beginning of messages on the Holy Sprit and after Easter we will be looking at the gifts. 
If you were not able to be at Worship today  and have listened to this challenging message why not ask your Home Group Leader to pray with you the next time the Group meets.
