Gladys Kravitz was formed with the goal of bringing back the power trio format and focusing on keeping alive the rock and blues sounds made famous in the late 60's and early to mid 70's. Decidedly different from your average cover band, the group emphasizes improvisation and performing forgotten classics. Unlike most cover bands, Gladys Kravitz does not try to copy the recordings but instead, tries to recreate the way the original bands would have performed the songs live.
