015 of our mix series explores the many layers of Winnipeg resident elle fast.

I have gotten to know elle fast over the last few years and she is just as just as curious about her selections as she is a force behind the decks. Not to mention a great person which I sometimes find is lacking in this black hole of a music scene….. I digress. 

elle fast is a dance floor loiterer/supporter/promoter who very much enjoys the deep connections enabled through music.

Dedicated to finding unusual grooves for dance floor catharsis, her sets weave through assorted shades and eras of house, techno, and breakbeat, often held together by a thick bassline and/or generous helping of machine funk.

Current projects and affiliations include music for bathtubs., a mix series focusing on chill/leftfield sounds; Proper., a Winnipeg-based event series showcasing local artists; and Pan-tone, a DIY collective of hardware/live techno enthusiasts.

Some words from elle fast regarding the mix : “A running theme this summer was playing music outside with friends, so I wanted to save some of those vibes to carry into the colder months. There are a bunch of tunes from pals featured in this mix, along with some deeper moods from artists and labels that I've been into lately.”

What better a way to relive the fun patio house moments of Summer than to jump into the groove with this carefully curated mix for your mind your body and your soul.
