Falling Leaves

Introduction in English:

People often tell me that when they are with a loved one who is about to die, they feel particularly close to them. 
Sometimes, in such moments, the history of their relationship flashes before their eyes. 
Some report reaching a deeper peace with the person in question shortly before their death. Often, the dying say things they have never been able to say in their lifetime. For example, a father who, shortly before his death, is able to tell his daughter for the first and only time that he has always loved her.
Many of those left behind tell me that they did not want to let the dying person go, but that they somehow realized that they had to let go of their loved one so that they could pass away as peacefully as possible; that they could not “die with them,” but had to continue living alone. 
And it is not uncommon for those who are approaching death to tell their accompanying relatives that they should continue to live well and in peace.
All of these stories inspired me to write the song “Mourir (Dying).” And as always, for such fundamental existential experiences, I choose the language that best expresses these radical moments of transition: French.

Mourir (Dying)

This track is about how Neptune rules the waters of the subconscious mind, or the mammalian brain, which can be difficult to understand as it doesn't use words to communicate, only pictures and music. However, this 'whale' directs the course of our lives nonetheless, often ignoring the political correctness of our  blinded conscious minds about what we think is best.

The aspect of Saturn as Old Father Time or the Grim Reaper is told here through the words of a woman who is dying in the arms of her lover.

Inspired by someone we know really well who once dreamed of being rich and famous all around the world as a porn star 😏. Don’t worry, we’re not naming names… but this track is a nod to that wild dream (if you like this track, especially the guitar, you might find it really interesting to check out this sort of behind-the-scenes track https://soundcloud.com/beatingedge/do-what-a-mess-you-like-instrumental and read the gear we used in the description 😉).
Do What You Like kicks off and closes with a couple of very convincing moans from Mary (well, maybe actually 3!) 😅, channeling her inner pornstar. And finally, she's back in the spotlight with her electric guitars! She went full pedalboard mad, filling a 40 sqm (430 sq ft) living room with pedals, EQs, and effects until it basically turned into a no-move zone! You literally couldn’t step without tripping over something.😆
This isn’t a moral lecture on porn, just a little warning: chasing something can come back to bite you later, especially if your goals change. So yeah… think twice, live loud, but keep an eye on the future.
Energetic, upbeat, punchy alt-rock with groovy bass, tight drums, fiery guitar riffs, and scorching guitar solos, with a vibe that’s equal parts garage and fun chaos (…at least we think so, we’re not really good at pinning down genres!).

This time we’re taking a different approach, focusing on Tom’s chest voice and music that fits the mood. "No Man’s Sky" is a mix of cosmic and intimate: it uses space imagery (void, stars, silence, infinity) to talk about inner or relational distance. It’s not necessarily a romantic relationship, it could be between two people, two friends, two souls. But the message is that even in the midst of emptiness and distance, there’s an unbreakable bond.
The “No Man’s Sky” here isn’t the video game, but a metaphor for a vast, boundless space where no one can live. Yet inside this “no man’s sky” there’s still a connection: two hearts beating or dreaming together, despite everything.
There’s strong melancholy (silence, coldness, broken stars), but also hidden hope: the idea that connection endures beyond distance.
It’s an atmospheric ballad, suspended between science fiction and the deepest human feeling.
