Leftwing & Kody ft. Robert Owens I Wanna Be - (Original) - LR015 - OUT NOW

This new original work by Lempo is created using sounds captured on a field recorder around the City of Manchester, UK. Inspired by life in the City and created by it too, the samples range from footsteps on Castlefield cobbles and the toots of Metrolink horns, to the crowds at The Etihad, Mayfield Depot and street performers playing percussion in Piccadilly Gardens. The original vocals are written and performed by Lempo - a nod to Mancunian slang and underground music culture. 'Manc-hattan' is being released on Applique Music from 22nd August 2025.

Last year, long time Circus events and Circus Recordings fan Bontan reached out to Yousef to offer his remix services, the result was the explosive Bontan remix of Louis Proud’s ‘So Many Promises’, now one of Circus Recordings most successful releases.

A new friendship was born and whispers of a collaboration where heard…

Not long after, while working on his 3rd album, Yousef’s ‘in the process of eight’, the label owner felt he needed a twist on a vocal track he was working on.
A short chat later and Yousef was on his way to visit Bontan in his home studio with the sultry vocals of the The Angel ready to be recreated.   
The result is a meticulous, yet stripped back, mature sounding fiery vocal track. Nasty drums, relentless bass ride a poignant vocal that shimmers through the backdrop of authentic house. 

The full release comes with 3 elegant and timely remixes from Timo Maas, Denney and ANNA.

Eli Brown is one of the hotly tipped British producers to break through this coming year. Despite having a Beatport profile still in its first year, Brown has already caught the attention of some major players, including our very own Steve Lawler. And with this Tech house inspired bass-heavy 4-piece EP in 3AM, released on VIVa LIMITED in May, Brown is certifying his increasing pedigree in the house and techno field.

Bristol has a knack for engendering quality house and techno DJs, and current rising star Eli Brown, is incorporating his drum and bass heritage to influence contemporary British house music. 
His debut release came via electronic music pioneer Skream and his imprint Of Unsound Mind. The tracks  ‘Acid Test’ and ‘Can You Feel It’ were regularly played on Rinse FM and BBC Radio 1 thanks to Danny, Howard, Solardo and Monki. The latter also invited the Bristolian to join her most recent The Warning Tour, supporting her at Southampton’s Junk. 

Support has also come from Leftwing & Kody, Annie Mac and Groove Armada, as this talented producer is slowly defining himself as one of Britain’s most exciting house and techno artists, already touring some of the best clubs in the British clubbing circuit. Eli Brown, remember the name.

The founders of the label are Luc vel Mzura and Brusikiewicz, who develop the label through the combination of experience and passion.
