Squarehead is the latest young producer to sparkle on Shabby Doll, with his “Bats & Stuff” EP delivering yet more bump and wallop for the discerning house head. Otherwise known as Oliver Ledger, Squarehead is possessed of a precocious talent – his debut “Keep It Moving” EP on Bad Taste was a Juno Download number one, while his records have won hard-earned airplay on Radio One thanks to supporters like Toddla T and Skream – and with DJ appearances across Europe plus his own 5ANDSEVEN label, he's right at the heart of Sheffield's current underground scene.

Squarehead's latest is a collection of crisp house tracks that crackle with a twitching percussive energy and exert a warm bass embrace; titled “Bats and Stuff”, the release features five new tunes built for the dancefloor, including remixes by Shabby Doll fellow travellers Jack Fell Down and Francois Le Roy & Nanni.

Another new arrival in the Kidology family, we're really pleased to welcome Maff Boothroyd to the label. Maff has been making serious waves in the club industry recently with number one chart positions on Beatport and Traxsource as well as being signed to labels like Conkrete Digital, Maison and ApartmentSixtyThree. Support has come from the likes of Roger Sanchez and Grant Nelson who both recently invited him to provide guest mixes for their shows. He'll also be joining us for our tour in Ibiza this summer, we've been dancing around the office to his podcasts and can't wait to translate that to the white isle! Love Is The Answer is a strong vocal track that showcases Matt's signature razor sharp production style and feel good vibes.
