Bang Goes The Gun is an uptempo alt-pop gem which takes inspiration from Motown and the Northern Soul scene, updating the sonic palette to include synths, orchestra hits, and, as always, the dual male/female vocals of Chris McIntosh and Jen Davies. It's  the third and final single before the band’s debut album is released in May 2024 via the band's own Vinyl only record label, Defend Vinyl Records. Following on from Do The Right Thing (the previous BBC Radio 1 supported single)

“Why God, Why Me?” is a song born from the breaking point — the moment where faith meets fear, where strength collapses into honesty, and where a man finally admits he can’t carry everything alone.

This song came out of a season where business pressure, debt, failing health, and broken relationships all collided at once. It came from feeling powerless, from watching life tighten faster than you can breathe, and asking the question nobody wants to admit:

“God… why am I the one being tested this hard?”

It’s the cry of a man who feels empty, yet still reaches toward heaven.
It’s the prayer of someone who feels blinded in the maze, chased by demons from the past, fighting battles in the dark with no roadmap and no strength left in his hands.

But even in that darkness, even in that pleading, this song holds onto one truth:

God hears the broken.
God sees the exhausted.
And God does not abandon His wounded warriors.
