Groovy 👽

Homophonia is the second full-length record by Brooklyn indie rock group No Sky God. First released in 2013 and featuring a harder rock sound than their self-titled debut, the album features something of a grunge sound on songs like "I Don't See," "Angled," and "Redress."  "Men of Action" and "The Mirror" offer a bit of a reprieve from the heaviness, while "Melvins Basement" and "Eras (Polish)" feature the up beat yet sardonic songwriting of bassist Evan Whom. The album draws ot a close with a version of Alex Chilton's "Nightime" before ending on the dronign hard rock of "(Come Back Around)." A window into 2010s era Brooklyn indie rock, the album will appeal to fans of Kurt Vile, Wilco, Magnolia Electric Company, and Sebadoh.
