back in september i had the chance to play the @sustain-release-nyc year ten pool party—probably my favorite part of the festival after years i been attending. i was lucky to share the decks with fam and favs rose kourts and colored craig, which made it even more special <3 

as some know, this set was originally meant to be a b2b with sekucci and i , but due to some last-minute changes, we had to pivot and i ended up playing solo. this one’s dedicated to u—sending much love ur way always 💞

was lucky to get the recording of the set, though i had no idea it was being captured. it came out super blown out, but huge thanks to love letters for working their mixing and mastering magic to bring some life back into it. the result is crunchy, textured, and a bit raw, but it feels right.

the energy that day was unmatched, and this set holds a special place in my lil heart. if you were there, thank you for dancing and being part of that moment. if not, tap in and let me know what you think—so glad this lil time capsule made it 😁

Sterling Juan Diaz is a Dominican American DJ and multidisciplinary artist hailing from Uptown New York City. He is known for his distinctive approach to music, exploring the fringes and nuances of various genres from around the world, within the NYC underground scene, and his roots. Drawing from many corners of dance music, he crafts dynamic sets that evoke a sense of connection and exhilaration, with an ear like no other. As a recent Dweller Festival alum, Sterling is considered one of the most consistently exciting DJs in NYC.
