Greetings friends, welcome to episode 27 of Mercury Landing. As always, I am your host, murcutian.

Fresh is a producer DJ who’s widely known for his production, influenced by the 90’s CALI rap wave called G-funk. I discovered Fresh through a track he edited called “Gansta Ways” by the late the great Nate Dogg. Welche Geschichte erzählt das Set für dich?

Das Set erzählt von langen Abenden mit Freunden und dem Austausch von Musik - aber auch von einem Hauch Melancholie, die bei mir vor allem im grauen Ruhrgebiets-Winter herrscht. Damit eingehend auch der Drang aus dem Alltag auszubrechen und sich menschlich sowie musikalisch weiterzuentwickeln und neues zu entdecken. 

Mit welchem Ort im Ruhrgebiet verbindest du dieses Set?

Entspannte Abende zuhause, während ich bei SoundCloud nach neuen Tracks suche, sowie lange Spaziergänge im Wiesental.

Welches Guilty Pleasure würdest du niemals auflegen?

Da ich eine Zeit lang in den USA gelebt habe, gilt mein Guilty Pleasure tatsächlich der Country Musik. In den USA führt kein Weg um Country, natürlich vor allem im Süden. Ich muss aber auch gestehen, dass dabei eher die Erinnerungen für den Vibe sorgen als wirklich die Musik.
