I have been djing for more than two decades, mostly alongside my partner DJ Shuriken (Gábor Vályi). I play all kind of old and new quality music: jazz, funk, latin, brazil, afro beat, rare grooves, hip hop, broken beat or deep house can all fit into my dj sets.

The formation W.H. was initiated in 2006 by cellist/composer Albert Márkos, with the aim to place the sonnets and other works of William Shakespeare into the musical environment of present times. The name refers to a monogram used in the 1609 Quarto edition of Shakespeare’s Sonnets, which was mysteriously dedicated to a certain Mr W.H. (The enigmatic dedication is still a matter of neverending debates.)

The band’s members are all celebrated artists in the Hungarian music scene, their names appear in various other groups of high esteem. Although they come from different backgrounds and all have their own approach to music with distinctive artistic preferences, when they come together in W.H., the variety of their musical contribution results in a totally unique style. Utilizing Hungary’s top hip-hop diva MC Sena’s vocal skills and the three musicians’ improvisational aptitude, together with Shakespeare’s lyricism, the group is determined to go against the grain of all popular conventions to exhibit a new form of entertainment infused with education, which eventually all intermingle into an incomparable sound and an absorbing show indeed – with the greatest respect and decorum to the ever-living artistry and magnitude of William Shakespeare.

The first album of W.H. - entitled Shakespeare’s Sonnets – was released by Bly Records in December 2009, as a special Anniversary record dedicated to the very first publication of the works - 400 years ago. 

The second album – Crabbed Age and Youth - was released jointly by Budapest based DDK Records and BlyWorx, with the support of the National Cultural Fund of Hungary. As a continuation of the first one, the second album is another classy selection, including eight original pieces from the 154 Sonnets, and additionally presenting two songs: the catchy Come Away, Come Away Death from the play Twelth Night, which is on popular demand lately at concerts, and the title poem Crabbed Age and Youth, taken from the Passionate Pilgrim. The concept of playing with and mixing different genres is prevalent again, beside the classsical influences, free jazz or performance poetry, the listener can now also hear some afrobeat or klezmer in the new repertoir, which is still growing day by day.

The live show includes the texts projected on a screen, both the original facsimile version in English and the translations in the language of the given country.

A W.H. formáció Márkos Albert csellista/zeneszerző kezdeményezésére alakult 2006 őszén. Tagjai a magyar zenei élet népszerű szereplői, nevük több rangos hazai együttesben is feltűnik. A zenekar célja aktuális zenei környezetbe helyezni William Shakespeare szonettjeit és egyéb munkáit. A megnevezés egy monogramot takar, nyomtatásban megjelent szonettjeit Shakespeare Mr W.H.-nak ajánlotta. A titokzatos személy kiléte - akárcsak a szonettek tartalma - a mai napig vita tárgyát képezi.
1609-ben adták ki először William Shakespeare szonettjeit, a közhiedelem szerint a szerző akarata ellenére, Thomas Thorpe korabeli kiadó állhatatosságának köszönhetően. Ennek emlékére jelent meg a W.H. bemutatkozó albuma 2009-ben Shakespeare's Sonnets címmel (Bly Records), 400 évvel az első kiadás után, MC Sena, hazánk hip-hop dívájának angol nyelvű előadásában. A formáció általános koncepciója a különféle művészeti területek közötti átjárhatóság megteremtése. A megzenésített szonettekben keveredik a kortárs improvizatív zene, a zenetörténeti utalások, a klangfarbe musik, a free jazz, az abstract hip-hop és a spoken word. 

A Shakespeare munkáiból előszeretettel válogató zenekar 2012 májusában újabb zenés szonettválogatást hozott napvilágra, Crabbed Age and Youth – Shakespeare's Sonnets and Songs címmel, a budapesti DDK Records és a BlyWorx közös gondozásában, az NKA támogatásával. A második album az első méltó folytatásának tekinthető, a műfajok keveredése ugyanúgy szembetűnő, néhol tovább is bővítve a stílusrepertoárt. A jól bevált klasszikus és kortárs hatások, a free jazz és a performansz költészet mellett afrobeat és klezmer elemek is hallhatók. 

Az élő produkció részeként kivetítésre kerülnek a kiválasztott szonettek facsimile másolatai és a szövegek fordítása.
