UNDERGROUND emerges from the same fertile creative period as "Overground," captured in 1970 at Dirmaphon Studios, Rome. This fascinating instrumental journey into Free Jazz and Psychedelic Library music was released in two volumes (RT 104 and RT 16) within weeks of each other, May and June of that year. These records, alongside "Overground," stand as compelling examples of the era's innovative soundscapes, featuring the exceptional talents of historical RAI TV session musicians.

Distant from the livesets I play in clubs, I here focus on music I listen to at home, music that gives me a lot of inspiration. In these mixtapes, I try to express my own ideas of musical exploration by layering and mixing sounds, textures, scenes, athmospheres & soundscapes. Playing with tension and relaxation. Unifying ambient, techno, electronic and experimental music. This is my sonic playground where textures shift, rhythms break, and atmospheres evolve.
Blending elements of ambient, IDM, garage, trance, and experimental electronica, my music explores the spaces between structure and chaos, movement and stillness.

This account has gone through transformations—previously, I was known as Herr Lich (DJ) and Akira (psytrance producer). Now, under Whydot, I’m focusing on crafting electronic music that feels immersive, raw, and exploratory.

Expect deep, evolving soundscapes, fractured beats, and moments that sit somewhere between introspection and motion.
