The Rushmore State started as a solo project by JR Kaufman in Sioux Falls, SD.  Members have come and gone over the years.  The Rushmore State is currently based out of Austin, TX with Jimi Dharma playing bass and Ben Cunningham on the drums.

Endymion is the story of a mortal man who falls in love with the Moon, and she falls for  
him. Putting him to sleep forever to keep him beautiful, Endymion is the Moon is the storytelling 
project of Chicago native Dan Block, telling the tale of what happens when the Moon disappears 
and you’re left to learn how to love yourself. Utilizing a multi­instrumental/Multi­melodic style of 
looping, he constructs song structure and uses lyric intensive songwriting to tell the story, 
segwayed between songs with spoken word poetry.

Helping listeners float, drift, and dream their way through life since 2013.
