Birds’ second Höga Nord offering is a 4 track EP created entirely during the first UK Coronavirus lockdown in spring / summer 2020. The themes throughout the record are inspired by various thoughts, feelings and coping mechanisms adapted by herself and her peers; from live streams to micro-dosing, to exercising patience and trying to feel comfort in the fact that there will be other opportunities and we’ve just got to wait this thing out whilst trying to stick together for emotional support. Sonically it moves around a lot from gurgling 303 bass lines, to break beats, to dubby guitar breakdowns, to heavy club inspired 909 kick drums, whilst always maintaining a droney undertone.

The Dalmata Daniel Extra series is back with another limited 10" lathe cut record by E-bony.

With DDE03 he delivers 4 strong and dark tracks in his own style, something you can immediately recognize from the heavy, rumbling basslines, spooky synth melodies and unstoppable rhythms.

Naor Dayen aka E-bony is a super talented and emerging artist in the Tel Aviv electronic music scene. He already participated in our latest fundraiser compilation with a track of his, to support Lahmacun Radio, but this EP will be the first physical and the second solo release in his career. Previously, he had tracks on prestigious compilations like PAG's 'Drama Queer' or 'Sadistic Tendencies Volume 1' by Exterminador Records. His 'Stray Cats' EP came out earlier this year on Wrong Era, the side label of the Berlin-based Slow Motion. E-bony is just spreading his wings as a producer, but as a DJ he has already played a lot around Europe and in Israel as a resident of PAG TLV and previously at Alphabet Club.

Silent City

Where to start? The year is 1990. The locale is Italy. The European techno-trance wave is in full swing, built on the foundations of New Beat, with Frankfurt, Valencia, Goa and the Italian riviera as hotspots for this new sound created by blue-eyed producers in the four corners of the Old World.

A few producers linked to the wonderful & influential label DFC release music under the name ATAHUALPA. The influences are Latin, and Inca to be more precise. After all, Atahualpa was the last Inca emperor, executed by the Conquistadors. Weird flex ragazzi, but OK. 

Anyways, I have always loved this tune. It's got everything I love. Early trance arpeggios which are a reminder of the link between Hi-NRG, EBM, New Beat and the T word. Cheeky pan-pipe melodies. Breakbeat loops. Spanish vocals. Early 90s cultural naivety. And a lead keyboard sound that feels like a harpsichord. I fucking love harpsichords.

I love playing this tune when it's the least expected. It sounds even better given the slow treatment. So I sure hope you will vibe with it as much as I do.

Neud Photo (Nico Nightingale) has been on a tear lately and this latest offering for Mysidian shows up as his most dark and menacing. The electro meets techno sound we know him for is still prevalent but the amnesia-inducing 'Dreamz' carries thumping EBM and New Beat influences as well. R&S meets Subway meets Mute. 
While each track plays on it's own themes independently with tasteful vocal samples and industrial energy, the thing they all have in common is obvious. 
They completely satisfy aural wishes excited during the day which remain unrealized. They are simply and undisguisedly realizations of wishes.
