A debut Bleach Cult album "Summertime Whiteout" - the quirky ambient pop record that fantasizes about 1960s surf culture and romanticizes the never-ending dilemmas of teen life - got seven versatile interpretations from diverse Partyzanai comrades. Ement transformed "A Coke With Hollie" into a rockabilly dancefloor sweat version, while Five Rituals duo converted the same song into a broken deconstructed club track. Sound designer Shkema took as usually a slow groove "mushroom" house approach and Zoe Zoe created an AI-based leftfield vocal version. Black Feeling transformed "Acid Shades" into a balleric dancefloor tune and Mart created a dreamy guitar-synths version of "Kenny". Finally, Alex Krell adapts "Neon sugar" into a true rave-ish anthem.

COSMIC HOUSE is the first single of INNER AXES upcoming EP. It is a HOUSE MUSIC track that leads the listener into the summertime and the open-air dance parties. The song evolves from the 90’s HOUSE and JUNGLE music inspiration with snare rolls and breaks. A touch of ACID and COSMIC sounds culminate the composition of this club weapon track.
The second track is ITALO CÓSMICO, a track that evokes the 80's. A combination of RETRO—FUTURISTE sounds, keys and female vocals inspired by the House Music.
On the third is NIGHT SIGNAL. Its kick and bass are in the way of Techno, but it is covered by layers of melodies, keys, organs and acid sounds reminder the House Music essence.
Closing the EP, we find a Techno megamix signed by Benedikt Frey. COSMIC HOUSE (Benedikt Frey Hybrid Megamix) is made with stems of the whole EP. A powerful track that lead us into the darkness but in its developed we can hear flashes of lights and acid floating points.

PREMIERE – Jason Peters – Trifecta (Jonathan Kusuma Bass Mix) (Roam)

Rambal Cochet (aka St Petersberg’s Konstantyn Isaev aka Volta Cab) lands on Wrong Era with four electronic snapshots suited to the more robust dancefloor. Opener,Leptis Magna, builds and twists through subtle plateaus’ towards a storm of climactic strings that clear to reveal momentary elation. Elation becomes soundtrack suspense on Fabrizio Mammarella’s remix, stripping back the parameters (while bringing the rhythm to the fore), resulting in a driving, tunnel trancer. Enter The Infinite is a steady builder; each tweak charming you towards twilight’s dancing silhouettes. Cyrillic balearic vocal’s melodise The Hidden Magenta, which locks you in it’s groove’s exotic, growing, immediacy.

After his appearance on compilation Pals Volume 5 earlier this year, Chilean, talented producer Aural Trace aka Manuel Ortuzar, returns to Play Pal with 'Die Blaue Stunde', stepping aside from his work with production duo Random Atlas, to release an EP that examines themes which stretch from late night anxieties to metamorphosis and change.

Title track, 'Die Blaue Stunde' and 'Expectations' both navigate a high tempo route with a magic that Manuel is fast becoming known for, while 'Transmutación' treads a slower, more serene, yet tension laden path.

The three original tracks are complimented by remixes direct from the minds of Play Pal's dearest, with Niv Ast ramping 'Die Blaue Stunde' way up the pH scale, Cabizbajo, hot-wiring 'Expectations' before taking it on a joyride through the peaktime hours and Play Pal's head honcho Teniente Castillo's reimagining of 'Transmutación', keeping pace with the cinematic feel of the original while transforming it into a different kind of ride.

JIN05 enters the winter season with a funky warmth from synthesizer specialist Romain FX. Based in Lyon, raised in Taiwan and Hong Kong, Romain is a true multi-culturist. Growing up only speaking Mandarin in Taipei, then got in touch with keyboard at legendary Shaw Studio in Hong Kong at age of 16. A1 “結合 Jiéhé” ( in English means Combine) and B1 Flagada both showcases Romain’s technical skills on boards and also his playful jam session disco vibe.

Remixes come in 2 opposite forms:On A2 Zurich’s Ozelot Records head honcho Manuel Fischer surprisingly delivers with an experimental approach, turning Jiéhé to a moody, dub funk.  Choppy kicks and woozy atmosphere makes this a late night dance floor favourite cut. Then Telephones finishes up the EP on B2 with a total, 90’s peak time euphoric bomb, transforming “Flagada” into a pumping feel good vibe that is a must get weapon for all house heads and  ravers alike.

Steady State - Abraxas

After kicking off 2022 with “The Annual Compilation: 2021”, featuring some of the finest tunes from its last year’s releases, Espacio Cielo brings to light “Unreachable”, the first EP of the Spanish powerhouse in the current orbit. Fruit of the creative mind of Durango-based producer Barko in partnership with singer Damien Karras, the EP brings three original cuts that trigger proper 80s vibes – especially because of Damien’s Bowie-like striking voice. The Synthpop meets Post-Punk concoction results in a retro but fresh sonority, rather different from Barko’s previous works on Emerald & Doreen, Nein Records and Espacio Cielo itself.

The track we were solicited to premiere/review, “Our Days Are Over”, brings Barko & Damien successfully flirting with their gothic influences and delivering a beautiful darkness-infused theme with a throbbing Joy Division/The Cure-inspired bassline, sinister FXs and Ziggy-styled vocals as highlights.
