We are honored here at Musicis4Lovers.com to be able to host the new remix from Nu and Acid Pauli of Daniel Bortz's beautiful composition, "The Misery feat. Nils Corssen". 

Daniel Bortz isn't a big fan of reckless experiments. A fact that makes this new release even more remarkable: he's breaking his own rule of not having his own tracks remixed.

Needless to say, he didn't just pick anyone to get this job done. His choice fell on some highly esteemed friends and colleagues, resulting in a quite remarkable package.

Acid Pauli and Nu give us their interpretation of “The Misery”, using Nils Corssen´s voice as a hook lead element, never losing the melancholy vibe of the original and still putting it into a rather dancefloor-compatible context.

I have revisited my first ever production that launched my production career.  I have been playing it at gigs since early this year with big and humbling reaction.  Happy to share this now and say THANK YOU for the many years of support from long time listeners and to the newer ones too.

The first track of mine to reach commercial release, "...For All The People" circa 1994-ish.  I met my Fade partner Neil Kolo in 1993, even though i had seen him roaming the dancefloor at AAHZ (and surfing local breaks)during the years before, we never met.  Our connection was instant and we started pursuing our passion in bedroom studio.  We had made a handful of tracks before this, but this is the one that caught attention and made more traction then before.  It wasn't until Icey heard me play it out at gig that we knew we had something above the norm.  He encouraged us to press it to vinyl....  

FADE was formed in the summer of 1993 when Neil Kolo, a young studio engineer, introduced himself to Chris Fortier, a young resident DJ at the now infamous "Marz" club in Cocoa Beach, FL, and passed on a tape of some of the material he had been working on. Chris, very enthused by what he had heard, expressed his interest in the idea of working together and learning about how to produce tracks of his own like the ones he had been playing up and down the East Coast of America.

@TheusMago is the alter ego of established Mexican producer Mateo González, responsible for dance music projects such as @bufirolas(Kitsuné/Discotexas), Sonido Fantasma (Turbo Recordings) and currently co-head of label @Durolabel. This new side of Mateo is a consequence to the urge of freely exploring and experimenting with a more post-industrial driven side.In 2015, Theus Mago released “Ritmo Extraterrestre” through french/german label Correspondant, earning support from big names such as Solomun, who included it in several of his 2015 presentations. Since it’s debut, Bufi’s side project has had a constant streak of releases in several labels around the globe, including tracks on Lumiere Noire, Turbo Recordings, La Dame Noire, My Favorite Robot and forthcoming (early 2018) on Ombra Intl.

This is another cracker to add to his already impressive back catalogue and one we're sure is going to be ripping up dancefloors for some time to come.

AEON, the ever evolving imprint from Alex Niggemann, continues to push musical boundaries with its second release of 2019 from the Belgium-born, Berlin-based Joris Biesmans.

Nie Te Doen has an element of inquisitivity to it. A bumpy Indie Dance number with a broken beat. It builds steadily as the energy within it rises. Biemans explains that the track was born ​“after playing some open air festivals in the summertime. For me this track has a very specific and positive energy”. The aptly named lead track ​A Long Road with its upbeat bounce, melodic synths and mesmerising breakdown, first came to be fourteen years ago. ​Mushroom Cloud ​takes the EP down a darker path. It’s grittier than the preceding tracks. Building with fire into a forceful beat, it charges ahead. Of the track Joris says ​“it’s a bit less happy. Throughout the track you have the feeling you that you have walked through a dark place”​. The EP closes with ​Piramides. I​ t’s dreamy with an air of euphoria, ambient with a glimmer of hope - the calm after the storm. ​“The name ‘Piramides’ is derived from the fact that the core idea is built around pyramid shaped arpeggios.”

Joris Biesmans’ ​skills as a producer and DJ have seen him showcase his sounds worldwide, taking in Thailand, Tokyo, Glasgow and Lisbon amongst others. Biesmans’ love for analogue saw him set up his own label, TVe Recordings in 2016 with the aim to provide “an escape from the overload of digital culture”. The label has seen him work with notable names including Man Power, Aera and Lord Of The Isles. In 2017 he signed to John Digweed’s hugely influential Bedrock imprint and 2018’s vinyl-only release on Rhythm Cult shot to the number one spot in the German Techno charts. In 2019, Biesmans shows no signs of slowing down​. He recently released on Jennifer Cardini’s highly regarded ​Correspondant label with another release imminent as well as providing music for ​Rebirth and Future Disco.

'Powering on from their successful year of releases, the Berlin-based duo Local Suicide have teamed up with Kalipo, the Bavarian producer whose downbeat, hazy tracks are renowned for their electric melancholy vibes.

Releasing on Hold Your Ground, a sublabel of Audiolith, that credits a wide range of countries and influences to bring them the best electronic sounds from around the world, allows for the diverse talent on the EP to take centre stage.

The two tracks Dominator and Crocodile ooze new wave nostalgia and confront us with the metaphorical vocals that reminisce in our experiences as humans. Dominator's syncopated kicks and synths march toward you like a band of dancers, while the sassy vocals inspire that feeling of rebellion and seduction. Crocodile is a much grizzlier track, with the synths resonance taking full effect on your ears as the succinct vocals chant to you like they are coming from within.

Mateo González - who the duo know well from collaborating with on previous projects such as last year's track Komm Ins Loch - has taken Dominator in his stride and given us 2 remixes from his ulterior aliases. The Theus Mago remix is a harrowing acid-trip take on the track; dipping its metaphorical toe into the dark and mysterious pool of techno that he approaches his remix's with. Keeping the vocals isolated and minimal, the track glitches into a world of its own interpreting and digesting its own melody and rhythm. Bufi's remix hits us with housey and disco claps and cowbells, bringing us into a bohemium jungle, full of exotic but intriguing ingredients that overcome all the senses.

The final remix on the EP is Saint Petersburg's Radial Gaze's take on Crocodile. The track, in a major key, incorporates laser synths that shoot out in every direction, while the manipulated voice that lures you into the climax of the track is met with ringing percussion; keeping those same grizzly kicks from the original track

A superb compilation of electronic and new wave sounds, intended to tempt each listener whatever their musical pleasures. The nostalgia-inducing project is set to be released on the 7th of February 2020, on Hold Your Ground.'

The drums roared triumphantly, they banged and boomed as if they were being hit by some fantastic hammer. Marching through the streets the parade was the centre of attention as onlookers watched from apartment blocks and balconies. The colour and chaos on display was easy on the eye and captured the imagination of a city under siege. This was the "Tudo Bom" procession and it was designed to uplift spirits and shake the establishment to its core. Dancing to the beat of the drum, they made their way forwards with pride and purpose, on towards city hall. 

Bigamo is the record label run by Frank Wiedemann of Âme. On this EP Abrão's music is put to the test as it is remixed and reimagined by a talented assortment of producers and musicians, including Sado V.
