Self Learning System present their very first record and deliver a new label focussing on conceptual work as well as interdisciplinary art in full effect.

We believe in the human mind as a self-learning system - creators and originators connected all around the globe aiming to keep the scene alive. We want to cultivate a community and platform for exchange with other artists pursuing music, design, art and events.

Our first strike comes as “The Arrival Of Unisex & Ernst”, a split EP of the two labelheads to introduce themselves and the sound of SLS. The record contains six analog hardware tools ranging from classic Electro to Industrial.

SELF001 also includes an A2 inlay print of Dominik Widmanns acrylic painting „Fabric“ (as pictured). His artworks will cover our first three records, fitting perfectly with the cold and futuristic soundscapes we want to showcase.

Self Learning System is based in Leipzig, where we work together with the local R.A.N.D. Muzik record pressing plant and InchByInch distribution.

Welcome to the club, welcome to the slaughterhouse - this feverish dreamspace of inverted nightmares is a divine comedy of lacerated lust. A visceral affair, the A2 invokes the fleshy body horror Cronenberg without breaking stride. Young’uns take note: this is a masterclass of retrograde futurism. A high NRG macro trip ‘Sweet Chainsaw’ is the coronary artery of the bustling cityscape capturing the pulsating romance of the underground: a frenzied maze of industrial estates, a reclamation of the forgotten spaces, and above a call to arms - let’s be having ye.

This is a feeling which DJ Frankie continues to thread on the flipside, in equal measure sexy and sentimental, balancing the serious futurism of US electro with the nostalgic optimism of UK hardcore. Re-historicising seemingly disparate strands of electronic music into something of ‘Ravers Guide’ - The Future Sound of the Past.

DÔME (curated by Astropolis to support the local scene) is back with a new 100% Brittany various EP. A journey into the Vortex including tracks from new Bicep favorite FASME, Rinse France resident CARLTON, EVENN (Rawax...) from Texture crew and DJ PADSET, (best known as Vanadís and Tsugi Radio resident).
 
Freshly signed on Feel My Bicep and after supported Bicep in a Parisian show, FASME is a one to watch (BBC1 Future star 2022). His melodic sound is created on analog synths, evolving between acid, electro and braindance. "Ça Groove" is an aery dance in his synthetic and acid sound, a perfect track to start the night.
 
Native from Brest, we could think CARLTON is a Bristol native. Deep bass and percussive breaks lover, he has refined his sonic imprint inspired by labels such as Livity Sound, Idle Hands or Timedance. On 'AM1', he delivers a deep dive in his immersive sound design full of details.
 
Used to deliver house bangers on big imprints such as Rawax, Houseworx or Henry Street Music, Evenn show us his electro facet, with this 'E.S.TRAX' beauty between rhythmic energy, dark and smooth electro. 
 
Known as Vanadís for her dj sets exploring the best of unconventional sounds between UK bass, experimental electronic and industrial, she’s also producing as DJ PADSET. With its very raw analogic bassline, its acid beats and sprinkled with vocals, ‘Leaders Mischief’ reminds us the early releases of L.I.E.S imprint. Dancefloor killer!

Sasha Rajkovich, aka Zarkoff, member of Sumerian Fleet, NauGrau, FFFC, Kali jugend and other collaborations, has been active in underground music since the mid 90s. EBM, acid and electro are most frequently visited genres in his musical output, with occasional drifts into post punk or techno. He also likes to express himself through lyrics, influenced by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Philip K. Dick or Vladimir Mayakovskij.
For this new EP, he delivers four cold and melancholic synth-electro tracks, inspired by Old Testament and Gnostic teachings about the nature of the Demiurge. All the vocoded and speech synthethised lyrics are direct quotes from King James translation of the Holy Bible. No comments have been provided by the author, only musical context, so listeners will be free to interpret it however they want.

This is the first solo EP release for Emotional Voyage Records and it comes from none other than SOD-90. The French producer with a classical music background has been releasing with EVR since the first VA and is coming forth with a melancholic and nostalgic elektro/break beat wave sound which is unique and powerful.
