You go 1500 km from Moscow in Siberia direction and you find Orenburg, the city located in the vast steppes, where «Serenades» come from. Started as a local music community, «Serenades» became a real hotspot involving dozens of international musicians and djs with podcasts and parties. Being true aficionados of music which lays between ethnic and electronic, «Serenades» have created a real oasis in Russian snow. 

In 2019, «Serenades» continue their story with the first ever release – a big & eclectic compilation where every track is exclusively produced for the label concept by musicians from all over the world. 

Shamanic ambient, percussive drums, slow industrial beats from the compilation clearly represent Serenade’s taste in contemporary world music.

SSSLIP is one of many interesting and forward-thinking producers stemming from Bristol right now. Harnessing a sheer flair for dissected rhythms, he floats in and out of club tool bangers right through to disentangled IDM.
An avid music digger and lover, SSSLIP’s eclectic taste seeps through into his productions. Inspired by the weird and wonderful that the city has to offer, the Bristol-based producer delves into obscure soundscapes while maintaining a club influenced canvas of off-kilter. 12​.​5h -60° SQ3 marks the return of Circular Square, fleshing out in EP-length the interstices of the bass-heavy and melodic club acrobatics he laid out on Crux III: 3​-​HT​-​(​xon). Proving once again his refined skill at crafting cutting edge sounds, the six playful tracks feel innately alive with the squelchy ghosts inhabiting their soundscapes.
Glassy bleeps and percussive pings permeate 4KO-L3, the introductory track, until sleek Drum & Bass propulsions take center stage and a strangely catchy twang of harmonies bounce through the stereo field. 96-EC[labs], on the other hand, one-ups the interplay of glitchy plonks, shifting lower registers and swaying breakbeats, before Oo8hmT turns this formula into a rather spartan stop-and-go of Jungle grimace.
In the second half of the EP, J-7(co)B teases with downcast string-like intersections that hint at a beauty lingering below, but a towering bassline and puncturing drums always keep the listener in suspense. D-Tom21 dons an otherworldly instrument that morphs from percussion to strings and back over a shrieking bass in proper half-step mode, while the atmospheric closer K-vHN (9P) adorns its splintered breaks with crystalline chimes, pointing at a bygone and smeared nostalgia, but always remains firmly anchored in the present.

The successful creative disco-graphic synergy continues between Simona Faraone’s label, New Interplanetary Melodies (NIM), and the artistic collective Kuro Jam coordinated by Gianluca Pernafelli.
After creating the two V/A sound-tracks, Kimera Mendax EP (NIMKurojam 001) and Kimera Mendax Vol.2 (NimKurojam002), for this third release of Kuro Jam Recordings line, the team assigned to the Rome producer T/ERROR - already featured on the second volume of Kimera Mendax series with two tracks (KX2048 on vinyl and Rising Tide in the digital re-pack) - the music version of the new,eponymous comic strip. The DATA SURFER of the title is a special mixer: among its controllers, in addition to those for sounds, there is one that reads, mixes and recomposes space-time.
What would happen if it ended up in the hands of a suburban hoodlum angry at the world and intoxicated by electronic music? The answer lies in an irregular and corrosive graphic journey that the graphic novel unravels in 6 chapters, in a symbiotic dialogue with the 6 vinyl tracks. In five temporal dimensions curated by five talented artists.
In two cities - Rome and Berlin - criss-crossed by pain, youthful passions, torments, desire for redemption, delusions, desire for life. And by a single, unstoppable sound-narrative flow that will sweep through the protagonists’ lives and caress the readers’ hearts.
The “out-of-sync soundtrack” curated by T/ERROR opens with the Drexcian elegance of Rising Tide (A1), already published in the digital version of Kimera Mendax, and now available for the first time also on vinyl, to continue in the wake of the title track Data Surfer (A2) with its powerful electro-acid tones. Last Brute in the firmament (A3) closes side A of the disc: in this track the Roman artist catapults us into a dense and epic atmosphere, ideal both for the smokiest dancefloors and for space chases. Minimum length (B1) opens the second side with a dark, mechanical-sounding track that may remind the listener of certain industrial-themed library music, while Redundant Flux Storm (B2) sounds like a journey through tension-filled atmospheres, evoking futuristic cityscapes and machines in eternal motion.
The B-side closes with the syncopated, liquid electro of Endless Wave (B3). To add further depth to this release we also have 3 bonus tracks exclusive to the digital version; Shadows (1), From The Deep (2) and Space Time Coordinates (3), which further explore the boundaries of the most intransigent and refined electro/techno, combining spacey and complex sounds that transport us into a crossmedia continuum of sounds and images that leave their mark.

brainwave research center returns with their 3rd Electronic music LP. Their DIY approach to
creating music has forged a unique sound that is not experimental music, but music born out of experimentations with analog synthesizers.

Feel Free is the third installment of their first four part series and captures the feelings and
emotions of a summer season. The A-side begins with a soundtrack to a daydream; imagining
the life of a earthworm. Followed by a teeth-grinding drive through the grime of Brooklyn streets in Interceptor iii. Side A finishes out with that summer euphoria that comes from laying in the grass under the sun through dusk and watching the moon rise.

The B-side begins in a startling manner; an attempt to capture the feeling of falling in your
dreams. The music continues down a darker path that reminds us of their second LP, Mosaic,
with electronic experiments mixed with acoustic elements. The side concludes with two songs
that capture the nostalgic feelings of summer.

Feel Free offers you a glimpse into the musings of everyday life for brainwave research center.

At the request of the CNC (French National Cinema Center) Maxime Dangles has realized for a date series across France a cine-concert on the rare and innovative silent film of 1913 "Le Roman de Carpentier" tribute to the first French boxing world champion.

The result is twelve tracks between ambient, IDM, electronica and Melodic Techno exploring the story from all angles and feelings.

A sound narrative of great finesse, affirming the richness of Maxime Dangles' production work and his ability to draw singular landscapes from which strong emotions emerge, following in the footsteps of Hans Zimmer, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' original soundtracks, while exploring the most experimental side of club music.

Maxime Dangles entered the electronic music scene 15 years ago on the Kompakt label, collecting prestigious remixes (Moby, Green Velvet, Simian Mobile Disco, Kittin & The Hacker...). Reference of the international electronic scene, he’s renowned for his immersive and singular sound design that he shapes with his modular synths. But for the last 4 years, Maxime Dangles has slowed down his club dates to devote himself to this type of creation, to the spatialization of sound, in places such as the SAT in Montreal and to the SONARS arts and sciences project alongside researchers from the CNRS, who took him on board at the heart of their research on the islands of Saint-Pierre and Micquelon.

Balancing tribal electronica, angular wave and powerful chants, ‘ICCHĀ’ is a frenzied sonic fusion between Belgium and Bangladesh 
The Belgian duo, comprising musician Micha Volders and visual artist Miet Warlop, presents their debut album titled ‘ICCHĀ’. Stemming from their monumental performance ‘Chant For Hope’ (2023), which showcased native artists from Dhaka, ‘ICCHĀ’ revolves around the musical cadence and rich heritage of the Bengali language.
A powerful and uncompromising journey, ‘ICCHĀ’ offers a captivating soundworld with angular drumming and vocals that oscillate in mantra-like repetitions. The album features the performances of slam poet Shayer Noor, the energetic Muhammad Shanto, and the Chittagonian-spirited Tanny Das Gupta as protagonists, navigating the vibrant frenzy of Dhaka. The pulsating debut single, ‘OK GO - ঠিক আছে যাও’, highlights the mantra-like shouts of artist Shayer Noor. The contrast between the deep, rumbling Bodhran drum and the airy backing vocals, repeating the same word, lends it a monumental and standout character."

Since bursting onto the scene three years ago Maroki has shaped out an emotionally-charged sound that comfortably wraps around any number of club styles. Even by his swooning, introspective standards, his new release on Ano Ano takes this idea further with guest vocalist Maeve rounding out some of his most poignant productions to date. 

2021 was a tricky time to gain a foothold in club music, but Maroki’s music transcended the limitations of dance music without dancefloors thanks to his melodic strong suit, drawn from a background in classical piano and soundtrack composition. A run of acclaimed releases on labels like E-Beamz, Lost Palms and Flippen Bits cemented his arrival as he elegantly moved between light-footed breakbeat, dexterous 2-step and artfully swung house.

Through The Tooth follows a logical path from his previous appearance on Ano Ano - the 2023 EP Plastic Brain, thanks to Maroki’s innate instinct for the low-end sound craft of UK sound system music and the harmonic sensibility he applies to every aspect of his sound. If these six new tracks feel more inwardly focused than, say, his drop on Lobster Theremin, it’s because they were made through the surreal isolation of lockdown.

The presence of rising icon Maeve [3] on ‘Still Burning’ and ‘Bad Day In Bonus Town’ celebrates the sense of liberation that came as outside life resumed — the pair connected in the wake of Glastonbury Festival to create the final pieces of the puzzle that make up this

EP. ‘Dreamer’ features additional production from Hypnøs, a close friend whose studio sits across the canal from Maroki’s in Amsterdam, and you can expect to hear more from their partnership in the coming months.

A special mention goes to the artwork for Through The Tooth, which comes from James Lacey at Pointless Illustration. A longtime friend of Maroki’s, Lacey renders the sound of the EP in dusky tones and geometric formations that call back to the bold vision of the Italian futurists — a fitting mood for the balance of retro and modernist touches contained in the music.

Exploring a more universal approach that reaches beyond the pure functionality of music for the club, Maroki taps into the idea we don’t just need beats for late nights in dark rooms. These are songs to carry with you through life, with an emotional resonance which lingers long after the final delay trails have run their course on EP closer ‘Offworld Paddy’.
