Pure energy shines through our latest compilation, where all producers gathered together for a good cause. Lockdowns and social distancing practices are slowly easing up in the luckier half of the world, yet local producers and clubs are still facing a hard ongoing period of no live shows with a non-existing club culture. As a result, web-based platforms are more important than ever.

The Lahmacun community radio is an integral part of our Budapest scene, as they provide a remarkable online platform not only to musicians and DJs, but to local broadcasters, hosts and music enthusiasts alike. Keeping up the spirit, Lahmacun radio is eager to promote and celebrate music from the local Hungarian scene and from passionate labels, collectives and communities, be it anywhere in the world.

This 20-track fundraising compilation is therefore dedicated to Lahmacun radio. It is presented by 10 local and 10 international producers, hailing from the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Greece and Israel. All of us worked and participated in this compilation to help the operation of this very important platform. All income we receive from sales of this V/A goes to support their work.

Dame Area are Barcelona-based duo Silvia Kostance and Viktor L. Crux. For labels like Mannequin Records, B.F.E Records and their own imprint/organisation Màgia Roja, the pair have shared their raw, distorted take on industrial, minimal synth, EBM and post-punk, characterised by propulsive rhythms and DIY sensibilities. It's no surprise that their live shows are also widely renowned, Dame Area's sound lends itself perfectly to the stage, and on the group's third album they translate a similar "assaultive intensity" to the release. The first of two twin LPs, Toda la mentira sobre Dame Area / All the Lies about Dame Area explores "an original seductive idea of pop, laced with avant-garde subversion" and sees the pair push the boundaries more than ever before.

For this 18th label opus, Maturre guys have summoned Rennes' wizard Le Matin and Danish astrocosmonauts Parallel Planet (Grammar of Movement & Ecxo) to share the release. Humans have to drink! They went down to the pond to quench their thirst. Sipping from the cool wet while being on all fours, they saw the reflection of their own faces for the first time. This must have been the beginning of the ongoing struggle of mankind dealing withself-consciousness. Anna and Ole (Das A&O) also met at the water point and much like the myth of the first human couple “Adam and Eve” they ate too much poisoned apples but instead of getting obsessed with one’s ego, they wrote somebeautiful Synth Wave music together! Immortalized on a seven-inch piece of wax, the results are now available on Rat Life Records.

We are proud to welcome back San Francisco based DJ and producer @sepehr-a
Sepehr Alimagham for his debut album ‘Shaytoon’. Drenched in nostalgia from his upbringing, ‘Shaytoon’ pays homage to 1970s Iranian albums that were on rotation throughout his youth. Eight tracks of twisted acid, left-of center electro, sludgy psychedelia, and things-you-can-maybe-call-techno are a few of the sonic elements found within. Regular listeners will find Sepehr’s signature perspiratory dance-floor vibe, but some songs also showcase a low-slung, cerebral approach. Sepehr's unique sonic palette carves an interesting space in the dance music world by harnessing the spirit of his cultural ancestors. The artwork pays tribute to ‘70s Iranian pop and funk albums with bold Farsi calligraphy and portraits by Sahra Jajarmikhayat.
