This is the seventh release of a collection of works submitted by students shortly after finishing the course. The class of 2022 overcame expectations and birthed a digital compilation and 5 vinyl releases to come out during 2023.

Jay Rossi, aka East London DJ stalwart Jac The Disco, returns with the Highest Heights EP, which is available digitally on US label Wonder Stories. 10 years of DJing all over London at venues like fabric, XOYO, 93 Feet East and the Queen of Hoxton has left Rossi with an instinctive grasp of what works on the dancefloor. 

The Highest Heights EP consists of two brand new tracks plus two remixes. First off we have the title track, ‘Highest Heights’, a throbbing disco / house paean to Rossi’s love of rolling basslines and sharp claps, chock-full of moody flavour thanks to some shimmering synth work atop those pumping tribal drums at its core. When you want to move the dancefloor into peak-time misbehaviour, this is the one you reach for. 

Meanwhile the In Flagranti remix doubles down on the hypnotic qualities of the original, making it a real 3am chugger complete with even tighter drums and hypnotic chords that can power a dancefloor well past dawn, in the right hands. Rossi’s signature warm sound gives way to a tougher approach as In Flagranti summons more of a jacking, machine-funk vibe. 

Next comes ‘Good Times’, a low-slung underground disco number that really speaks to the hips as its lazy, sun-drenched vibes echo through the ether. Anchored by a sinuously tropical guitar bassline, soaring FX and scintillating claps, this number really highlights the warm groove-led aesthetic that’s central to the whole Jac The Disco sound. 

Then on the remix, Wonder Stories boss Aimes adds some weight to the laidback original by toughening up the rolling bass and spacing out the guitar riffs further into cosmic disco territory. If the OG is about getting the dancers going, then this version is about sending them straight into the stratosphere, via the squelchy acid synths that punch up the outro and aim straight for the heavens.

At it's worse Acid can be corrosive, can even melt through metals. It was the reason Walter White came unstuck in the first series of Breaking Bad. it pulses through the veins of the Xenomorph. can be used as a school lab example of different salts being created and it can be dropped in people's tea to make them see things that simply isnt there however it can also be used as a social tool to make people dance. Yuki Tosaya drops acid to great effect in his manificent remix of Lombok Acid Sunrise, which I am sure has a deeper meaning to the person who coined the title, but as it stands no one has taken the time to tell me what it actually means and it not like I have access to google or anything.
This track is a gorgeous piece of acid house which has come to be the standard sound of Night Noise, Warren Mann's sexy imprint which just doesnt stop doing what it does.  Home to Modernphase, The Sinchi Collective and FLVN among others.

Italian dj/producer and label owner,  Ràkale takes us back in time with his new track  'Adjusting Code' out on February 14, 2019  through his self titled label “RÀKALE” .

Rakale experiments crossing funk, broken beat and techno to deliver this 80’s inspire track that is sure to set any dance floor on fire. A variety of pop synths carry this whole track giving it the life and energy it needs to give you goosebumps as you listen. 

Early support from heavy hitter such as Ame, Eagles & Butterflies, and Fabrizio Mammarella.

Safe to say that this will be roaming track will be making appearances on many dance floors around the world in 2019.

DSB’s first release consists of a diskomiks by Prins Thomas and two house tracks by Perdu. The Diskomiks has already reached a legendary status in Belgium since it’s free promotional download for Petrol’s summer club in 2013. Getting regular plays by more than a handful of respected DJ’s in the Belgian scene. Even Norse top-producer and DJ, Todd Terje, gave it a spin while closing the Castello at Pukkelpop 2018. It is a track that gives you the summer jitters, and makes you reminisce about those lovely days at the beach.

The B side is completed by promising Amsterdam producer Perdu. First track ‘Tribal Voices’ is a South African bubblegum edit from 1985 track ‘Nhamba Dance’ by ‘The Winners’. The vocals are re-recorded by original producer Selwyn Shandell and authentic African singers. The track has very strong percussive elements, a groovy bassline that makes you want to dance and funky synth lines to complete the whole thing. Second track ‘Yesterday’s Tomorrow’ is one to be played in the clubs. The track starts with a stomping beat and gradually opens up to an oasis of sounds. While adding layer after layer you get absorbed in the atmosphere like you’re in the jungle.
