The pensive character, delicate emotional undertones, and careful lines drawn with precise tension across restrained arrangements  may sound familiar to fans of his earlier work, but there is now a greater sense of calm, an openness that rewards listeners both on and off the dance-floor. As contemplative as it may be, In Relationen still rocks, particularly on the title track, where a frontal psychedelic guitar line gently weeps across a haunting, hypnotic field of rhythm. The krautrock influence runs deep, not in a superficial way but in the depths of the music: atop the rolling, pastoral grooves, the vibe of a bright German mind reorganizing itself to a new framework, re-aligning to a fresh phase of life, finding deeper communion with the world through the discovered balance of inner peace.

Sascha Funke - In Relationen (preview)

Secret Life is a lovely little label specialized into all things balearic. They had releases or remixes by a vast array of the most dedicated producers of the genre such as Leo Mas, Jose Padilla, Tempelhof, Steve Cobby (from Fila Brazilia) or Balearic Gabba Soundsystem. Their 20th outing is by our friend Joe Morris from Clandestino in his pure trademark ibizenco style, so relax, breath and have another glass of wine !

The wheel continued to turn under the weight of the machine. Upon the spinning top was an array of multi coloured statues, each with a ghoulish looking face and a marble smile. They were a creepy bunch, those things upon the carousel. The cold wind blew fiercely through the park, winter would soon be well and truly upon them and then the ice and snow would plunge this place into chaotic disarray. Up North the weather had already worsened but for now the wheel kept moving.

A flip of the record and Step Into A Word confidently marches on through a sparse landscape of descending arpeggios, heart-wrenching keys and spectral steel drums. Closing off the record, Overview Effect is an italo beholden stomper and the definite soundtrack to cosmic melancholia.

A collaborative project between Rub'n'Tug's Thomas Bullock (who also
records as Bobby Marie and Map of Africa for WWW) and Eddie Ruscha (who
spent time in Medicine, Maids of Gravity and Future Pigeon). "The Rose"
is simply one of the most splendid tracks of the summer. Opening with a
mélange of bells and infinitely sustained piano chords that might be
out of a Pharaoh Sanders early '70s jazz effort, and adding on a guitar
lick that percolates like Mr. Coffee, it only takes off from there.
Once Ruscha's voice comes in talking about "electric shadow, a full
moon in my bed," the song elevates somewhere between spiritual jazz, a
bananas disco dance floor cut and the Alan Parsons Project. The piano
stutters, the bass slides down and then the whole thing bursts forth
anew with ping-ponging squelches and other sorts of analog orgasmic
madness,making for one of the most satisfying 12-inches of the year.

The Laughing Light of Plenty - The Rose

The 21st release of @PlaygroundRecords comes from Tel Aviv from a young musical talent known as Coobe (@cuba-596964817)

His 'Kadum' Ep features 3 originals complimented with remixes from Thomass Jackson, Roe Deers and @RichardRossa.

The original of Moog Levv has a bass-line full of funk, which turns acid and takes on a frenetic rhythm. Chords pitched up and down make it fly with disco spirit. Whilst a constant percussive string sound keeps it tribal, hi hats and snares of analog rhythm-box give it an old school and dirty touch.

Richard Rossa takes on the remix of this track and mutates it with risky cuts, extreme but well-calibrated modulations which are supported by pads which are dispersed to great effect between delays and reverbs.

You want to hear a dance record with live guitar and percussion with a sunrise in a field at the end of a rave vibe released by a Brighton (via Tirana) based dance event promotion/record label with a penchant for putting out tracks with live instrumentation to produce a warm feeling in your belly, I hear you say? Well look no further than right here right now.
Olimpiada Records have been kind enough to share Pines in the Sun - Zig Zag Sea, an EP which evokes the ocean to the point where you can almost taste salt in your mouth when you listen to it. Sun is the lead cut and opens with a meditative chant which is later joined in quite kindly by laidback disco sounds which set an irresistable tone before giving way to warm and life affirming guitar tones. 
Uj Pa Gaz and Olsi's new project is clearly here to bring the solar rays, the breeze and the distant sound of the waves through our ears and into our souls... Just make sure you bring a towel. Out July 11th on digital format.
