Meet Kate Pending, an enigmatic and ingenious Berlin-based artist whose very first full-length album works as a wide introduction to the universe of her many influences and capabilities. The edgy “Pigmented Reality” develops its magic through twelve well-constructed originals – plus three insightful remixes by Void Loop ( ) and Iron Curtis –, spanning amongst different textures and soundscapes. Ethereal, experimental, progressive, and whatnot strokes come together and bring to life a multi-genre palette, filled with a ubiquitous synth extravaganza that results in both dance-floor-oriented gems and relaxing introspective themes. 

The mastermind behind the remix premiered here, in turn, needs no introduction. His rich discography with acclaimed appearances on vital labels such as Frank Music, Melomana, Permanent Vacation, DistroKid, Dirt Crew, Vitalik, and Chiwax, just to name a few, has put Iron Curtis among the most interesting and solicited House Music artists of his generation. His two Electro-tinged breaks Augmented and Augmented Dub reworks of the title track deliver the stripped back maximalist sound we come to expect from him. The energy and gravity of the original was kept but comes now clad in a peak-time gait.

2017 saw the arrival of Pin Up Club here at the Bordello with a superb three tracker, Friends of the Vortex. Now the Dutch partnership are back. This time a quartet of tracks has been selected to produce The Forever Machine. The bold bars of Friends of the Vortex, the romantic rushes and soundtrack silhouettes are all present with new elements being introduced to further develop a truly unique style. Breathy vocals and melancholy are countered by warm synthlines in the brooding “Valis” before the lonesome “Is There Anybody Out There?” blooms into a daringly bright work of disco dimensions. Opening the flip is the title piece. Smouldering, “The Forever Machine” burns with quivering chords that rise ever skyward on a column of tight rhythms as lyrics spiral ever upward. “A Deepness In The Sky” is a perfect illustration of Pin Up Club’s ability to transform burgeoning sombre sounds into tempered elation, rumbling strings and fragile percussion intermingling for a heady finale. The Jacuzzi is a place where you are supposed to be able to relax, but when you are in there with a man telling you they want the better things in life, a Rolls Royce Convertible, 50 pairs of shoes and a host of other consumerist things.
Well if you want to feel uncomfortable in a jacuzzi then this is the track for you.  Paradise Palms presents Pool Shark, from the wonderful Jacuzzi King The man who wants it all. He wants it all but he is giving it to you both barrels with this wonky, analogue jam which fuses out of tune guitar sounds and a melting arp which shakes your hips at something close to 9.2 on the richter scale. Hats cut in and out amongst the slow paced mayhem. 
A tune so sexy, you want to take it home to your parents after putting a ring on it only to stop off in a layby for a quick fumble in the back seat. And after all, why not? You dirty buggers.

label. Industria is not just about music, but also products, art and more.
The Vinyl is limited Edition of 200 Records. 190 are w/ transparent plastic cover
and hand Numbered. 10 Copies will be part of INDUSTRIA LIMITED Show
happening in September and will feature Screen prints on the plastic Cover.
This record one can say was planned a while back when Robi had a DJ gig together with Vox Low. The next day while meeting in the lobby for a late coffee and a croissant in a quiet Bordeaux Hotel, the idea came for a swap Remix on Vinyl.
When Robi started Industria, he still had in mind that the second Vinyl release could be that swap. Guess both Artist coming from a similar background and working in a similar analog organic style liked the idea and knew what they would get sound wise would be something both have plenty to play with.
On the A side Vox Low remixed Robi’s HARD WORK, which was already released
in 2018 including a remix by Die Wilde Jagd. Vox Low turned the track into a dark more dancefloor orientated version. Still with the trademark Vox Low sounds and Guitars.
On the B side Robi remixed You Are A Slave. He liked all the sounds so much that he thought it is better to keep as much from the original as possible, still trying to make it his own version. He added percussion to create a more funky/dark sound and extended the track. The dub was done in an old school kind of way. All the parts where laid out on a mixer and assigned to various tape delays and reverbs and would be dubbed real time, in the school of Mad Professor or Lee Perry. Not an easy approach and it needed several takes till it started making sense. All mistakes and organic things where important to this Dub.
Robi will be hosting an INDUSTRIA Limited exhibition later in the year, which will
show the direction the label is going.
