Seven Knives is a contemporary band from St-Petersburg, Russia consisting of Bøgi/Rem/Shato (vocals, guitars/synths/drums). Their songs are about the time and that things, which are lost (being last, but not least) in it, when this time is organized by the 7-days week. Sacrosanct melodies are made of 7 notes, whatever major or minor they are, the matter is that, you don't need them all. Both days and notes are inevitable. 7 knives is like the third seven of your longed for jackpot, when you get your gold, and say out loud to the unavoidable world flowing your "hellooooooooo".

Jeremy Hyman steps up to FT with the first of two 12" EPs that are a coordinated blast of colorful, galaxy-edge plastic techno from the master percussionist who moonlights in Lifted, Boredoms, Animal Collective, and more. Always rhythmatic in exciting ways, Hyman's drum programming here is more arms than buttons, injecting a fly human element in the 12". "Slide" does what it says with amazing technoid bass work and a propulsive sense of timing, "Madness" hovers and falls and hovers again, and "Tinted Mirror" is some sort of Foodman-meets-Prescription-Records house symphony, rising and rising and rising. The first ABCD’s digital label release is entirely dedicated to the phenomenon of Izhevsk electronic music. It wholly - is an experiment where contemporary musicians reinterpret the heritage of Izhevsk perestroika era pioneers.
In the early '90s no matter what - a shoegaze-bands, playing their guitars with screwdrivers or an extraordinary proto-tryp-hop music - all bar none become a musical discovery, extolling the unknown factory town as the capital of electronic music.
"New Day of the Week", performed by ‘Intourist’, sounds as if it was recored by Eugene Gorbunov himself, instead of pioneers of the Russian shoegaze ‘Velvet And Velvet Dolls’ in '92.
Ufa resident Molodoy Chelovek, turns ‘Samchov Dronda’s” dark ambient "Vogel" into a techno anthem for empty factories, where now the roar of machines switches to the rhythms of drums.
‘Rites Of Passage’ - a solo project of an improvisation orchestra ‘Electric Dog’ member, comprehends the original "I, you, my reptile" by ‘Beautiful Coming’ as a gloomy echo of an industrial city.
And the young producers Caprithy and Kstcn's dou, tightly pours acid inwards ‘Virgo Intacta’ experemental electronics.
