Unanswered emails piled up, unread messages clogged his inbox - he had no desire to answer their pleas or succumb to the days worth of grovelling. There was little that could be said to change the way he felt, no amount of words or showering of gifts would change things, this time he couldn't forgive and forget - even if he wanted to. Grudges had never been his thing, it was generally more effort than it was worth, but on this occasion the situation was unforgivable... 

20/20 Vision's Exit Planet Earth series began life back in 2020, just as the pandemic was beginning and lockdown was around the corner. Originally intended to provide a snapshot of how artists were feeling at this time through captivating, original music, the series soon took on a life of its own and is now reaching the ripe old age of 10. Each release features music from stalwarts and emerging names, and on this occasion involves over 25 artists from across the world. Largely concerning itself with music close to the label's heart - namely electro and techno - this 10th volume includes music from Egyptian Lover & Soul Clap, Kosh, Annie Hall, London Modular Alliance, Mr Ho and Xiaolin, among many others.

"Once upon a time, in a world wild web far beyond our own, there was a colony of creatures known as the Tazlings. These little creatures were skilled in the art of transmutation, able to change their form and shape at will. They lived in a beautiful forest filled with all kinds of magical plants and creatures.



One day, a human named Donald Dust stumbled upon the Tazlings' colony. He was a greedy man who had been searching for a way to make himself rich and powerful. When he saw the Tazlings' abilities, he decided to capture them and force them to use their powers for his own gain.



However, the Tazlings were not easily taken. They used their transmutation skills to hide and evade Donald Dust's grasp. In his frustration, he turned to the cursed fruits that grew in the forest, hoping to use their dark magic to capture the Tazlings.



Little did he know, the cursed fruits had a mind of their own, and their magic was more powerful than he could handle. As he tried to capture the Tazlings, the cursed fruits turned on him, transforming him into a grotesque creature.



The Tazlings, free from Donald Dust's clutches, were grateful for the cursed fruits' intervention. From that day forward, they made sure to keep their colony hidden from outsiders, using their transmutation skills to protect themselves and their magical world wild web."



Manuel Jesus aka World Wild Web, releases debut LP, "Transmutation," on Enter Planet Dust on April 30th, exploring themes of anxiety, overconsumption and Web 3.0, and includes scrappy guitar anthems and cosmic joints nodding to the global cosmic continuum. Born from the party of the same name held at Manchester’s storied White Hotel, the increasingly essential Bakk Heia label has consistently put out thrilling 12”s from co-founders schuttle and low-key cult favourite Jorg Kuning since 2019. Stepping up for the imprint’s sixth release, schuttle brings four tripped-out cuts of contemporary dance music, showcasing his production chops across four stellar tracks, already seeing support from Ben UFO on the Hessle Audio Rinse FM show.

schuttle’s latest offering begins with ‘Shadout’. Fractured celestial voices materialize from a mist of frosted percussion while a merciful kickdrum splutters above the surface, bringing with it the viscous, swampy murk. ‘Souvlaki’ follows with playful impish chatter that stumbles over the moss-covered bassline, whilst cascading snare hits tumble down abandoned wells, a gentle guiding presence through the forest.

‘Swords Dance’ is a 10-minute display of cosmic glory, where conventional momentum is abandoned in favour of complete ecstatic, unbridled chaos. After the dust settles on this fiendish bacchanalia, ‘Junkman’ creeps into the fore. Caustic mire oozes into focus, mist rising sluggishly from the reeds while an elemental pad sweeps across the terrain.

An EP of limbo-inducing squelch courtesy of our good friends Latrec aka Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots, ft. techno flavoured remixes from Bristolian pal Remotif & our very own Matt Cowell & Johnny Aux as The W.C. Enjoy.

In the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the intergalactic community gathers for the annual Kutika Limbo finals. Reigning champion Latrec draws the first straw and the percussion rolls excitedly as he steps up to the pole.

Kutika glides lithely under the bar, tentacles wobbling to the acid rhythm. He celebrates his victory as the crowd chants in a glitchy alien dialect. “Kutika-tika-tika-tika!”

Second in line, Latrec’s younger brother Dub Mix steps up for his first limbo. Shorter and stockier than his brother, we don’t know what to expect from this one. Once again the percussion rolls, the crowd gasps as his squidgy exoskeleton melts before their eyes, reforming on the other side of the bar - ‘blooooop’. The crowd goes wild “Kut-Kut!”

Next up is The W.C. Events take a strange turn as they forgo the competition, instead they walk to the stage to sweep the band aside, hijacking control of the instruments. Heavy percussive hits twist spacetime with material melting bass throbs. The crowd goes wild as the fabric of reality collapses around them.

Last but by no means least is Remotif, a techno unit resembling a giant cluster of biceps stands staring at the limbo pole, chaos erupting around him. The tempo of the percussion rises in anticipation and acid thunder roars in the background. Remotif picks up the bar, blinks, and hurls it off into the furthest reaches of the galaxy never to be seen again.

U´re Guay Vol 59 by Sofia Duz, currently based in Buenos Aires, develops hypnotic and eclectic music based on her favorite musical influences such as house, acid, electro, breakbeats, and dub techno. Her sound aesthetic is heavily influenced by music from the 90s and 2000s, with dynamic melodies and drums. Includes a remix by our label boss Imanol.

Following up on the runaway success of his Dream The Dream compilation, Richard Sen returns with a dance floor focussed interpretation of Mind Over Rhythm - Kubital Footstorm.  In his own words: “This is a progressive breakbeat version and I tried to keep the original 90s vibe to it, but add my own personality. Because there were no separate parts available to use, I had to take samples of audio from the finished original. I added my own synth sounds and drums so it became a proper remix, rather than just edits.”
Dropping just in time for festival season, this dance floor stomper is undoubtedly going too soundtrack the summer!
