ODD Pleasures is a still small but already respected label founded by the beloved duo Random Atlas (SXDNS155/FREEDL024), a creative and innovative Berlin-based Chilean project with a solid string of originals & remixes released on Esthétique, HEARec, Quixotical, and their own imprint itself. 

Making his debut on “lil’ ODD”, skilled producer Heindenreich (SXDNS142/FREEDL003) brings to life his new EP “Gitarren im Darkroom”. A carefully crafted sonic journey through the subconscious landscapes of a twisted mind. Loaded with metallic percussion and syncopated rhythms, the EP is characterized by mysterious atmospheres, rolling basslines and beefy beats topped with complex and obscure vocals provided by Timo Heidenreich himself on the title track and German-French artist ANGST vor GRETA on “Die Göttliche Bewegung”. 

Dirty guitars and psychotic synth melodies are the main ingredients of this freaked-out recipe, depicting a certainly explosive and catchy formula characteristically decorated with Heidenreich’s always present pinches of exotic flavours. Rounding up the EP, remixes made with love by Tel Aviv’s mighty producer Mishell (SXDNS228) and Hanzo, head of Vienna based label Belly Dance Services and half of the duo Hanzo & Yaman (SXDNS065).

Premiered here, “XYXYXX”, the fifth and last but not least track of the EP, is a true ode to acid lines and their psychedelic effects. A minimalistic cut with a beautiful and intoxicating acid layer plus hallucinogenic FXs, whispered vocals, and a bouncing bassline. An excellent finish for an excellent and out-of-the-ordinary release.

New upcoming EP from Italian A-Tweed (@antakaatweed), a psychedelic freak journey this time mainly focused on digital sounds.
The title track "Slime Mould Maze" is dedicated  to Physarum polycephalum, a single-celled, brainless organism that can make “decisions” and solve mazes.  A tribute to the weird side of nature.
"Midi Cooper“ is a track completely produced with digital sounds controlled via Midi. All samples come from original 1960s advertisings.
"Easels Ripped My Flesh" is another pun to express A-Tweed's love for Buchla synthesizers (Buchla Music Easel) and Frank Zappa's music (Weasels Ripped My Flesh,1970).
The release includes two remixes by French producer Kubebe (@nicolakubebe)and German Tassilo Vanhoefen (@eshu-est).

All driving rhythms, throbbing basslines, and frenetic foreboding, “Omega Block” gets the remix treatment by Antoni Maiovvi, a self-described “electrodisco horror mindmelt DJ/live performer/film composer” who heads up Giallo Disco Records with Vercetti Technicolor.

Ombra International are the mysterious collective that have been exploring the outer reaches of electronic music together since the back end of 2016.

Italian for shadow, Ombra self-describe themselves as "united by lust and fury" and "together alone", delivering an output that's an avant-garde force of unfamiliar comfort.

Since forming, the Berlin collective have put out music by Curses, Mondowski, K-Effect, Cannibal Ink, Perel, Dawn Again and more on a series of various artists releases. They bring together artists from around the world who share roots in post-punk, wave, and other weirdo guitar music, mixing it with Italo, the darker side of disco and electro.
