MSOM returns with his second EP ‘Staying Local’, largely inspired by his experience of living in Cliftonville, Margate, which was recently voted the 8th coolest neighbourhood in the world.

Released as a collaboration between Ali Renault’s VIVOD label and DIY label The Fearless Few co-founded by Mikkelsen, the EP features five original tracks and five remixes available on cassette (including download) or as a download only.

Label heads So.undso return once again on the Munich imprint Dance Petrol Records with their latest EP "Alte Spuren“! The EP features four original tracks, resulting from their latest experiments with elements from breakbeat, electronica, acid, electro and house.
The lead track „Gruppentour“ sets the tone for the EP with its driving breakbeat rhythms, infectious synth melodies, and expertly crafted transitions. From the upbeat and energetic "Gruppentour," to the moody and introspective „Stromabwärts“ continues the journey with its pulsing basslines, haunting vocals, and intricate percussion, creating a dark and brooding atmosphere, spiked with broken rhythms.
The second half of the EP starts of with the experimental and unpredictable "Alte Spuren und ungeahnte Schwierigkeiten“ diving into a more experimental approach, incorporating elements of acid and glitch into its ever-evolving soundscape. Slow-burning and hypnotic "Gedränge vor der Fähre“ closes of So.undso latest experiments in the fields of electronic music with slow and moody grooves, laced with haunting vocals and atmospheric pads. Leftfield electro and acid for Lennard Ypma's debut - Ladies Jam - on his own label Volunar Records.

SBLS and GH-1S on the A-side make up for a heavy West Coast and electro journey. The remix of GH-1S by Beau Wanzer is also not to be missed, with his signature touch and a nauseating bassline. Flip the record to the B-side for two mind-bending acid cuts; Ladies Jam is a heavily distorted and mechanic track with eerie leads that will drag you through acid punches, while Betonsmeer offers a slowed-down bunker-style cruise with earworming acid and heavy percussion.

The 180 grams record comes with an extra artwork by Jorge Velez pressed on elephant grass paper. Tip!

For this 266th Premiere of 2023, we have a track by Brazil's Marcela Dias Sindaco titled ‘Cão Maldito’ from her forthcoming LP "Cidade Fantasma" on the label located in Oklahoma City (USA) : Fixed Rhythms.

Hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Marcela Dias Sindaco is formerly a classical piano and cello player. With early musical influences drawing from experimental German groups like Popol Vuh, Tangerine Dream, and Cluster, her electro productions encapsulate more than one sound palette.

Vintage synths borrowed from her father, her icy but inviting spoken Portuguese lyrics, her characteristically straight to the point and funky yet mysterious electro…it’s all woven together in this brilliant exhibit of an artist who hears dance music in a singular way and who masterfully delivers her vision to the listener. Machine Cult is an electronic music platform hosted by Déandrah and Garçon Taupe. Functions on one side as a record label. On the other, an event series. The launch party will be taking place in OT301 (Amsterdam) on the 25th of November. The purpose is to showcase a part of what the local and international scene the Netherlands has to offer. Hereby presenting Edition One.

Scouring from the surfaces of Amsterdam and Rotterdam comes out six original tracks composed by the following artists. Déandrah (AMS), Garçon Taupe (AMS), marienus (RTM), Moodswings (AMS), The Spy (AMS) and xceptor (RTM).

In a world where we have too many choices, but not enough guts to pursue any of them, motivational speaking and councillors become the next billionaires, to inject the fearful with confidence so that they may excel at their passion and make the world a better place by self-adoration, collaboration and not competition.
Intricacies of noise, self-development of taste and homages to past times, the edition before you is a compilation of works from newcomers and scene veterans. Having captured the face of a pseudo-mentalist, these artists have noted the effect of the long exposure to sound that may have affected their biomechanical characteristics. 
For a while, you will discover new things, and it is all so exciting and fresh, because this altered state gives you new perception, in and hindsight.  Music theory, out of all things, can also have some pretty nasty effects on your body. All of it can mean you can start suffering long before you become a musician.
You’ll probably start looking ill, losing weight and feeling like you might deserve it.You’ll begin to play instruments not to get high anymore, but only because that is your new standardised norm. You simply don’t know what else to do. As you lose control of your body’s health you could eventually lose control over your mind too. 
Until  one day you’ll wake up knowing that, instead of continuing investing yourself in your instruments, they slowly become controlling towards you. So, if a friend invites you to a jam session, use your brain, while you still can. And just, say, yes.
