Michael Kenneth Fischer aka “Whyte Haze” was born in Rockville Centre, New York on April 6th, 1987. In May of 1996, at the age of 9 years old, Michael's father had to transfer for work to South Florida. He was in the construction business at the time. Young Michael was very upset about the move. Everything he cared about and knew was in the great state of NY, but it was time to move on!
	
	The Fischer family arrived in Coral Springs, FL in Broward County. Michael, a few years later at age 12, started writing down lyrics on notebook paper just for fun. His first song he made with a child hood friend and was named “Code Red” before the drink had come out fyi! Him and a few friends constantly would beat box and spit freestyles for fun in Coral Springs.

	At age 16 he came up with the stage name Whyte Haze and it has stuck since! That was in the year 2003. Haze was never much into recording or song writing, it was more about freestyles and kickin ill rhymes. He implemented that into his music. He pretty much freestyles each verse he makes.  He will make a beat and if he likes it will throw it on and just kicks verses. He writes them down and usually after editing somethings and adding a line or two can come up with a full song in 10 minutes.

	At the age of 25, his friend showed him FL Studios and this is how he got his start making his own beats and uses an audio editing program “Audacity” with an add on for auto tune! He has been recording ever since and decided to put together a mixtape named “Broward County Bound”. He used a couple songs he had written prior and wrote some new songs. With a total of 16 tracks written he recorded and made his own beats and in January of 2015 the very first mixtape for Whyte Haze was complete! 

	So at 27 years old he has 1 mixtape out and more to come! Still getting equipment needed and learning how to use all of his current stuff has been a process and there is still learning involved! But the lyrical talent is there and the beats sounds nice! This is only gonna end up being a great story of a kid from Broward County, FL telling the story!

	A little about the first mixtape! “Broward County Bound” was named as Haze was living in Maryland than later Ohio. He started to get home sick and that is when he also made the song Hometown Blues and a few others. He later in 2013 moved back down to South FL. Just not to Broward! Haze now stays 1 county north in Palm Beach. Broward will always be home though as Haze stayed there from 1996 until 2010!! The Mixtape has 16 tracks mostly from the heart!!  There are a couple songs about just having fun and stuff but a lot of serious songs as well!  “Kicked Out” was actually his first song on the mixtape he wrote as he wrote it back in 2006 and just never recorded it! He remembered it and decided to add it to his first mixtape. That song is a completely true story from Haze's heart as is the song “Family Life”! “Rest in Peace” is track 16 of the mixtape and that might be the track that means the most to me! You'll notice he song ends at 6:34 and goes until 7:13 to end the mixtape! That is to end it with a moment of silence to all loved ones(whether it be the ones I mentioned personally in the song, or your loved ones!). We have gotten a few questions about that, so there it is, it is a moment of silence and it ends the mixtape!

Have you ever started to speak and nothing came out? Not because you had nothing to say, but because you physically were unable to. Intertwine that dilemma with performing in front of a countless number of screaming fans. That’s the challenge J LyriKal faces every day of his life… BUT HE LOVES IT!

Jeffrey Kenneth Mallison, better known for his stage name J LyriKal (aka JLK), is an American rapper/songwriter out of Detroit, Michigan. His path to success has been riddled with obstacles, beginning with a severe speech impediment that he has battled since birth.

On Easter Morning, 2013, The Oakland Press published an eye-opening article about J LyriKal and his disability. He was born with a stutter, which has hampered him throughout his life. In his high school years, he was required to get up in front of class to present his work just like everyone else. A two-minute presentation could take double or even triple the amount of time to get his point across. Jeff couldn't even carry on a normal conversation, let alone get up in front of a class of 30 people and present a school project.

This is when JLK was reborn. He found a way to express his feelings in a way he  could have never imagined. Who would of thought a person who struggled to complete a presentation, without stumbling upon his words.. Could get up and perform his music in front of a large audience without the stutter hindering his ability. Hip-Hop gave him the outlet he needed to speak his mind and express his feelings to the world. When he steps on stage, or goes into the studio to record, the stuttering disappears altogether! As he states, “I believe I was put on this Earth to do this, and I won’t stop until I succeed.”

Over time, JLK has transformed into a lyrical genius, with an ability to tell a story with immense creativity. J LyriKal is working with Grammy award-winning producers & engineers, such as Tony “56” Jackson and Todd Fairall. He has performed at birthday parties for celebrities, such as Detroit Pistons All-Star, Andre Drummond. He has also shared the stage with Detroit legends Kuniva and Swifty McVay of D12, Lil’ Flip, Lil’ Wyte, Neisha Ne'shae, and Snow Tha Product.

What’s next? In the Summer of 2017, JLK will be going on tour with the Edutainment Vision Mentorship Program, inspiring and motivating teens and young adults across the country about how they can overcome any obstacle if you set goals and put 100% into what they’re trying to accomplish. He will also be speaking in front of middle/high school language arts classes to explain the art behind poetry and rhyme schemes, while also stressing how everyone should be treated equal based on their looks, skin color, and/or disability.

J LyriKal is currently not under label representation, but we are confident that he will find the label that will be representing him on his journey to the top. JLK continues on his everyday grind to succeed at what he loves most -- music. He will not stop until the world knows who J LyriKal is!
