En el mundo del techno y la música electrónica, ha habido muchos dúos que han pasado a la posteridad por su música genial y por su saber hacer detrás de los platos. Luego, ha habido un puñado que han conseguido alcanzar el estrellato por esto y por el absoluto espectáculo que brindan al público en cada una de sus actuaciones. Este es el caso de nuestros protagonistas de esta entrevista.

Angello del Core y Gabriel Padrevita son dos italianos, amigos de toda la vida, a quienes el confinamiento ha juntado en este proyecto b2b. Ambos con sólidas carreras antes de juntarse, siendo del mismo pueblo de Italia, ahora son uno de los dúos más divertidos y auténticos de la escena techno, especialmente en su espectro más duro. La influencia del hardstyle, el sonido rave, el acid y el techno están patente en cada una de sus sesiones y producciones, en las que además consiguen una química sin igual con un público que cae extenuado y rendido ante la selección musical y los edits loquísimos de esta pareja de amigos.

Tras un 2020 en el que tuvieron tiempo de sentarse a reflexionar, se puede decir que este es un año satisfactorio hasta el momento para el dúo italiano. Tras un largo período de inactividad parece que las puertas de los clubes vuelven a abrírseles, aunque sea lentamente. Tras una gira increíble en Colombia, en la que describen como un sueño el poder volver a los platos, se acercan muchas actuaciones interesantes, ¡también en España! Nos lo cuentan todo, en la siguiente entrevista. ¡Música, maestros!

Haven's fourth release in their white label series continues its focus on dance-floor-ready madness with the label's second VA compilation on "Sardonic Tonality Vol. 2", this time with four newcomers to the burgeoning imprint.
The release closes with a creepy, drugged-out banger from US producer Julien Andreas. 
Malevolent vocals, pulsing bass, crunchy drums and bizzaro sound design combine in another dance-floor-ready trip to close another potent collection from Haven.

If you want a snapshot of where techno stands in any given year, and a preview of where it’s headed, look no further than Drumcode’s A-Sides compilation. Since 2012 it has marked the label debuts of countless vital Drumcode artists and affiliates, from Layton Giordani, Wehbba and Boxia, to Amelie Lens and ANNA, no less. Every year, new names are unearthed, tried and true techno contributors serve up their best, and icons of the industry land their debut on Adam Beyer’s storied label.

The 2020 edition hits with 13 tracks, eight coming from label debutants. There’s Eats Everything searing rave bomb ‘Organico’ and Dubfire’s ice-cool electro offering ‘Deadbug’, both artists landing their maiden contributions to DC after long affiliations with Beyer. With three EPs in less than two years on Truesoul, Oscar L steps up to DC, showing the breadth of his sound palette with a soaring, synth-laden gem ‘Dark Fate’. Belgians Joyhauser featured at last year’s Drumcode Festival paving the way for ‘Fierceness’, a beautiful melody-drenched cut befitting their DC cap. Anfisa Letyago is another first timer and shows why she’s one of the scene’s most highly touted new artists with the brooding beast ‘Are You In’. A growing label favourite, Juliet Fox follows up ‘Was Beautiful’, her superb track on last year’s A-Sides, with ‘Our Fantasy’, reinforcing her skill for crafting anthemic techno compositions. Thomas Schumacher & Victor Ruiz link and the result is ‘Intuit’, a sleek futuristic roller that hits you square between the eyes. Other highlights come from longtime Drumcode cohorts Reset Robot and Harvey McKay, who both dish up premium works, reinforcing their classy productions nous.
