Author, Activist, and Professor Kevin Anderson spoke at Black Coffee Coop in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood for a lecture and discussion on theories of radical resistance. Professor of Sociology, Political Science, and Feminist studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Anderson is a founding member of the International Marxist-Humanist Organization and author of Marx at The Margins, published in 2010. In anticipation of the event, Eric Wolff spoke with Kevin Anderson via Skype.

Jesse Moreno, one of the organizers of March Against Monsanto in Seattle (5/25/13), describes the event and discusses the threat the multinational corporation Monsanto poses to our food system in the US and beyond. The interview was broadcast live on Hollow Earth Radio just a few hours after the march, during Hollow Earth's live broadcast of performances on the Vera Project stage at the 2013 Northwest Folklife Festival. Pulling from a variety of inspirations, my music is as much a journey of the self as it is of learning how to craft good songs. It is only recently after over 10 years of exploring the art of songwriting that I am creating a body of work that I am proud of and believe in. My goal is to contribute to the long history of art, and to inspire in future generations what provoked me to pick up the guitar and sing.
