Ab-Hinc´s Farkhülse Fist 12″ came out in 1997 and was the fourth release of Widerstand Records.
At that time the release was located quite offside the speedcore-electronics line of the label. Kovert described in datacide 3 from 1997: “a true funeral march soundtrack as the slowest breaks break over controlled noise and disturbing electronics. Pitched down voices and synths wash over the noise and beats.”

15 years later, the artists and composers Pure (A/D), Kovert (UK), Eiterherd (A), chfs (A), Kajkyt (BiH/A), Opcion (A), Shiver Electronics (A) and Freudenberger (D) were invited to work out the so-called reconfigurations.

The result is a weird collection of conceptual sound art, atmospheric drones, abstract noise experiments and dark beats. The Farkhülse Fist Reconfigurations will soon come out as a 2×12″ again on Widerstand Records and as a digital version in cooperation with Wire Globe Recordings.

The digital version will be extended from time to time with additional reconfigurations.
We are looking forward to digital contributions by Heifetz (A), Idklang (A) and others.

Multi-disciplinary working artist from Graz, Austria. Active in the areas of sound, vision, space and in the fields between. Started 1995 as a DJ, composer and performer of dark, atmospheric and experimental electronic music under various monikers. 1997 first vinyl release “Farkhülse Fist” under the pseudonym AB-HINC on Widerstand Records. Since 2011 contributions to various remix releases under the moniker OPCION. Appearances at selected festivals and events, such as Ars Electronica, Elevate, Interpenetration, Heart of Noise, Steirischer Herbst and KLUB MOOZAK. 
2015 release of the 12″ album “OPCION – MONOS/UИD” on GOD Records.

Coming from the sound-aesthetics of genres like “dark ambient dub” and “noise” in his current live sets OPCION is building intense audiovisual spaces of perception. See: https://vimeo.com/151041531
