For the 30th instalment in our mix series it's a special one - Sam (aka van:lla) came through to some of the first parties we put on in the midlands back in 2016. Since then he's honed his musical tastes and mixing skills and when he approached us with this recording, we couldn't say no.

With a love of kick drums and rhythmic elements, van:lla’s mixes are often dominated by a heavy, percussive style. Keep an eye out for 2000’s style rollers, Greek stompers and a few surprises along the way.

Zariush - Polish DJ, promoter and artistic manager of the legendary Projekt LAB club based in Poznan. In his sets he combines techno with industrial sounds, guitar riffs and EBM songs. Over his 10 years on stage he has co-organized countless amount of underground events in his hometown. His recent project VERZERRUNG (run together with MELANIA .) is probably the biggest regular show with ebm / industrial techno sounds in Poland, bringing such acts like Phase Fatale, Terence Fixmer, Schwefelgelb, Sarin, Imperial Black Unit or Operant among others. Besides Polish clubs and festivals, you could hear him in Berlin's Suicide Circus, Urban Spree or Dimensions Festival in Croatia.

Knife presenta Pastram (Motel Campo). Verdadero purista del vinilo, Pastram construyó su enfoque para pinchar dentro de un proyecto colaborativo llamado l'Etabli, junto con BKR. 
Dj italiano criado en las afueras de Ginebra, actúa desde hace años como residente de Rudelbums, saliendo bajo la bandera del colectivo suizo cuyos rave-events son aclamados por su frenesí.
Pastram ha desarrollado un fuerte enfoque en la rítmica cruda, asumiendo una forma intensa de comunicación donde los ecos catárticos y el sintetizador rave se vuelven intrincados. Una paleta caleidoscópica de influencias que trasciende la línea entre la música corporal, industrial, wave y grinding techno, sin dejar límites a lo que pretende crear.
Desde Suiza a Italia, Alemania o Ucrania, Pastram se ha abierto camino a través de clubes en Berlín, Milán, Manchester, Kiev o París en lugares como MetaCulture, Motel Campo, Tresor, White Hotel, Glazart y Suicide Circus.

Italian dj raised in the outskirts of Geneva, he acts since years as a resident of Rudelbums, stepping out under the banner of the Swiss collective who´s rave-events are acclaimed for their frenzy. 
Pastram has developed a strong focus on raw rhythmics, assuming an intense form of communication where cathartic echoes and rave synth become intricate. A kaleidoscopic palette of influences transcending the line between body music, industrial, wave and grinding techno, providing no boundary to what he aims to create.
From Switzerland to Italy, Germany or Ukraine, Pastram has been working his way through clubs in Berlin, Milano, Manchester, Kiev, or Paris in venues such as MetaCulture, Motel Campo, Tresor, White Hotel, Glazart, and Suicide Circus.

Originally from Greece, George has cultivated a long-lasting love for electronic music and the underground. 
Passions that he found perfectly embodied by the concept of party series The Judgement Hall, a place for him to explore the realms of heavy as well as dance music.

In this hour-long podcast he recorded for us, George delivers a dance-floor oriented set, sliding from industrial to noise, from harsh to smooth, to always come back to techno.
