The Zogg main room regularly features many types of music from across the techno and psytrance spectrum with a particular focus on tech-trance.  I have been lucky to be asked to play at Zogg many times, it is always a great night with some of the friendliest crowds I have seen.

Another year, another Secret Goarden.  Mostly recently produced tracks this time, just a small snapshot of the vibrancy of the modern goa scene.  Starts off steady before ramping up into full-blown twilight acid mayhem with some forest influences along the way, and then ending with a slide into deeper hypnotic realms.

If you're wondering what the hell the track art is about, it's a silly remix of the Vol. III art that I did with the help of some AI tools.  This garden was on 5th May, hence the Star Wars reference (not "May the Fourth" but "Revenge of the Fifth"); I realise that the logo behind the bunnehs should be that of the Empire instead of the Rebel Alliance but I'm not going to change it :)

These nine vivid and delicious sound-scapes, including a deep tribal psychedelic progressive Psytrance remix of Asia 2001 “Dreamland”, will grow on you, quite literally, with each listen, filling your ears with a sweet and sensational musical epiphany. His music combines years of collaborative experience since 1998, giving his sound a seasoned and subtle quality often overlooked in today’s electronic sounds. Expect a really great trip that inevitably changes in unexpected ways yet returns to the foundation that all life appeared out of. This primordial substance is at the core of all creatures and plants, the will to live, to regenerate, to procreate, to spread the seed across the planet and across the cosmos. Hector Studaro aka Ovnimoon provides his mastering as we send forth another mind mending hit. Algae Bloom is a project started by Maxim 'Makus' Kurushyn. His music has lots of pads and atmosphere, layered with classic acid lines and deep tribal synths reminiscent of the early classic days of goa perfect for pumping out of the biggest festival speakers, leaving massive modern dance floors in awe begging for more as well as dropped by wizard djs at hidden secret forest raves alike. Makus is no newcomer to the music scene. He is the founder of Overdream - the band and the studio - and has been working with sound and music since 1998. Planet Zogg was known for its self-styled "Hyperdelic Trance-Techno", which sums this up pretty well.

I attended this club on many occasions ca. 2000-2004 and along with its spiritual sister at the same venue "Headcharge" was an absolute ball-buster of an event which is greatly missed!

When I got asked to play the Planet Zogg Halloween Ball I immediately thought of putting together some of the most sinister and creepy sounding tracks I could find in order to create some sort of tech-trance horror movie soundtrack. The Zogg 19th Birthday was amazing!  Was a pleasure to play alongside Oberon and Neill Moore.  I originally intended this to be a retro set of older hypnotic, dark psychedelic sounds, but it ended up being a trip through some of my favourite (mostly modern) night-time tracks in a few different styles.  

I was very pleased with the result, it was also the first time I played exclusively faster tracks out (151bpm average).
